Skyline 2 Already in Development
I went into Comic-Con, like many others, having never heard of Skyline. The presentation and showing of some scenes though captured everyone's attention, especially given that it was made on a low independent budget. The special effects looked as though they were right out of a big budget sci-fi tentpole film. It turns out that the Strause brothers who directed also financed and own their own special effects studio. To give some perspective on how slim the budget was they even chose to film mu...

First Look At Chris Evans As Captain America
EW.com has posted the first official photo of Chris Evans in 'Captain America' gear. It's pretty much what I had pictured the character would look like. The only thing really missing at this point is his mask. In the interview with EW, Evans talks about how at first he was a bit apprehensive about accepting the role of Steve Rogers. Evans recalls, “I was just scared. I realized my whole decision making process was fear based, and you never want to make a decision out of fear. I canââ...
Batman 3 Gets Titled and News on The Riddler
Christopher Nolan has finally released some details on his next Batman chapter. The film will be called The Dark Knight Rises, and he also revealed the villain would not be 'The Riddler.' It comes somewhat as a surprise when you consider the rumors swirling around the character being played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt have been going on for a while now. But this won't be the case.
Nolan was most eager to talk about the fact that Warner Bros. had agreed with his argument that the film should re...

Review: Unstoppable
Unstoppable is based on the true story of a runaway unmanned train carrying hazardous chemicals in Ohio in 2001. As is the case with most dramatizations of real-life events the movie takes liberties with the facts making it a non-stop action filled race to prevent tragedy and provide redemption for the main characters. (more…)...

Paranormal Activity 2 Breaks Records
Paranormal Activity 2 scared up $41.5 million for the weekend and in the process broke the record for a horror film in October. It also becomes the highest grossing opening weekend for supernatural-themed horror ever. The total includes $6.3 million that came from midnight showings on Thursday night which again was another record as the most for an R rated film.
Grosses did fall on Saturday by 35% and then another 36% on Sunday. There is no doubt it won't have strong legs but after such a b...
