EA Sports debuted the "Game Face" feature now seven years ago, but the company never invested in updating it and lately have phased out of most of their titles. Game Face utilizes webcams or actual photographs of people to craft created player faces in games. It has always been hit or miss, with some severe problems along the way, but also some decent representations of users or even celebrity recreations that led to some legal concerns. While the NBA 2K series has offered up arguably ...

2K Sports today released news on improvements and additions coming for MyTeam mode in NBA 2K15. MyTeam is the company's attempt at cloning the Ultimate Team model from EA Sports' titles and was first introduced in 2K13. While the revenue-generating mode isn't as natural a fit for NBA games it has proven to still be something that has a dedicated audience which is more than happy to shovel over their money in pursuit of new players. In 2K15 MyTeam adopts even more concepts from Ultimate Te...

The overall ratings calculation has changed with NBA 2K15 and only four players will be rated 90+. The floor seems to have risen, and the ceiling lowered somewhat, compressing more players in the middle. As always individual attribute categories and signature skills - and how those translate to performance - is more important than the overall. 2K Sports has started to release the player ratings and in an unorthodox manner having done so by starting with the lowest in the league. Typically...

NBA Live troubles continue for EA Sports who have apparently delayed Live 15 until October 28. The new date appears on the game's official website - which previously promoted the original October 7 date - without the company actually making a corresponding announcement (it has since come down).  (more…)...

One month ago 2K Sports announced a new highly-customizable offline association mode known as MyLeague for NBA 2K15. Now the company is talking about its carry-over MyGM mode which replaced the more traditional association mode last year by attempting to add more life to the management duties but stumbled with the misguided implementation of Virtual Currency that hampered the experience all throughout 2K14. Big changes are in store with 2K15 and none less crucial than the reduction of ...

With just five weeks until release EA Sports appears finally ready to begin promoting NBA Live 15 with a debut trailer focusing on the visuals and the first feature details. Improvements in visuals are just about the only thing the company discussed this summer and until now they didn't show much to try and back it up. Even still this first substantial news on features is only accompanied by 39 seconds worth of trailer. With zero credibility and having let down the few who were actually w...
