More Details on MyPark and The Stage for NBA 2K15
Earlier today 2K Sports released a trailer for NBA 2K15's MyPark and teased The Stage. Now the company has provided expanded details on both.
MyPark and the Jordan Rec Center within it sound compelling. As far as The Stage goes one has to wonder how 2K Sports is getting around this being considered gambling, because it really is, and there are legalities to consider in that. A 45K VC game (the max on PS4) is for all intents and purposes putting $9 on the line - though that cost or the win...
A Look at Improvements Made to Offense in NBA Live 15
EA Sports today released a new video spotlighting some of the improvements being delivered in NBA Live 15 specific to the offensive side of the ball. The company has yet to do much of anything to demonstrate how Live 15 will be a better product than last year's but the examples noted here are a good start at attempting to communicate them. The video shows where work has been done to enhance passing, dribbling, shooting, and contact animations. The three week delay has NBA Live 15 set t...
MyPark Trailer for NBA 2K15
With under a week until release 2K Sports has finally introduced a look at improvements to The Park, the online mode introduced in Xbox One and PS4 2K14, now branded as MyPark in NBA 2K15. The trailer doesn't go into great detail but does mention earning "Rep" and the ability to play with friends as "Squads". There's the "Jordan Rec Center" where games become 5v5 with four quarters and NBA rules - partially replicating the "Crew" mode so many desired. Also at the end is a tease of "The Stage...

First NBA 2K15 Online League Info
In the transition to the new generation of consoles the NBA 2K series lost its Online Association mode which was replaced with basic Online Leagues. The leagues in 2K14 lacked the necessary admin options and tools for any to be successful and server issues sealed the deal on a mangled and virtually useless mode. Even simple settings like quarter length and difficulty levels couldn't be adjusted! An online-based MyGM or MyLeague mode appears unlikely to materialize in the near future but inst...

Last year NBA players in the mode were subtitled and had no voices but this time around someone from each team was brought into the studio to record lines.

No Demo for NBA 2K15
All along it appeared unlikely that 2K Sports would be offering a pre-release demo for NBA 2K15 after passing on doing so with 2K14. That has turned out to be the case with Operation Sports getting confirmation that there will be no demo for the game.
The NBA 2K series is in a position where a demo may not be a necessity but the decision can still be legitimately questioned. While companies have started to move away from the traditional demo (MLB: The Show was really the first and there w...
