The latest Press Row Podcast features panel discussion on early experiences with NBA 2K15. The product offers a lot of good - from gameplay to presentation and variety of content - but has been hampered by severe struggles in areas such as the servers and face scanning. Having trouble accessing NBA 2K15 or particular modes within due to server trouble? You're not alone as documented yesterday. 2K Sports is now offering a status page where you can check on the servers specific to each platform. Right now PS4/XB1/PC are facing "temporary service interruptions that may affect various game modes" while MyTeam mode is completely down on 360/PS3. Those messages haven't changed since the status page was launched yesterday. [Update] 360/PS3 is now said to be ful...

The MyNBA2K15 app once again will let you earn VC and you can now redeem Locker Codes, purchase items in the MyPlayer Store, and utilize a chat function from your ...
  • Server Issues Wreaking Havoc With NBA 2K15

It's a familiar story - server outages on release and in the days following for an NBA 2K game. What shifted dramatically last year with 2K14 was the impact server outages would have on consumers. It was for all intents and purposes an always-online game and that meant when the servers were down so was the ability to continue to play just about every mode in the game. It wasn't just online play or MyTeam but MyCareer and MyGM that would go down with it due to the Virtual Currency implementat...

  • How Has Your Face Scanning Experience Gone With NBA 2K15?

    Posted October 7th, 2014 at 9:00 am 16 Comments »
The face-scan technology introduced in NBA 2K15 led the way in terms of anticipated features for the game based on the recent poll. However as many are discovering now it's a difficult process to complete - having spent over 30 mins frustrated by it I've just given up for now - and even those who have success the final product may be some form of alien creation. If you want to see the things of nightmares check out this gallery of grotesque face scans. Were you able to complete a...
  • Online Leagues in NBA 2K15 Still Lacking Some Critical Options
    by
    Posted October 6th, 2014 at 12:15 pm 28 Comments »
2K Sports didn't make much of a concerted effort to promote the Online Leagues in NBA 2K14 or now NBA 2K15. The reasoning was evident - the leagues didn't, and still don't apparently, meet the necessary requirements for running and sustaining a successful operation. Only a few tweets were sent out about 2K15's leagues which did make them seem as though they would be a viable option this time. Unfortunately now as consumers begin to dig into the game it has come to light that some of the deta...
  • What Are You Most Looking Forward To With NBA 2K15?

Unlike most sports games as of late a lot of work has gone into the modes of NBA 2K15. While it appears it'll release in a couple days without having gameplay improvements detailed, which is certainly unusual, there is no shortage of content to anticipated in the product. Whether it's the addition of MyLeague, new storyline for MyCareer and face-scanning for your MyPlayer, changes to MyGM, additions to MyTeam, expansion of The Park, or simply the pulling back of the influence Virtu...
