The mobile version of NBA 2K15 released today for iOS devices and Amazon Fire devices. It's unclear when, or even if, it will be brought to Google Play for all other Android devices. There may be some sort of timed exclusivity for Amazon here. Last year though NBA 2K14 did go out several weeks after iOS. This is not to be confused with the free MyNBA2K15 companion app which offers up the ability to get daily bonus VC, chat while in MyPark, and play a card battle game. NBA 2K15 offers t...
  • No Pre-Release Demo for NBA Live 15

Multiple reports have now surfaced that a demo for NBA Live 15 will not be out prior to release and instead will go out on the game's release day of October 28. This is the case despite EA Sports having implied over the summer that not only would there be a demo but it would go out super early and that the company had other various ways planned for people to get their hands on the game. Whether EA was intentionally misleading (quite possible considering their PR tactics with the franchise...

Server issues have dominated discussion related to NBA 2K15 since it released last week. Not only have modes like MyPark and MyTeam failed to work properly in part due to the servers, and online games affected by troublesome input lag, but modes that would be considered by most as offline like MyCareer and MyGM have been impacted. Today 2K Sports announced that a patch has been submitted to Sony and Microsoft that will at least address some of the related issues. #NBA2K15 patch has bee...
  • EA Showing No Urgency for What May Be Make or Break Year for NBA Live

NBA Live 15 is due out in under two weeks and in just eight days it'll be made available through EA Access on Xbox One. Most wouldn't really know it though with the lack of promotion it has received and all attention going towards the competition. EA has largely shielded Live 15 from consumer. Rather than show off gameplay they've pushed screenshots and information like player ratings, team rankings and the soundtrack.  (more…)...
  • Thoughts on NBA 2K15 MyCareer Mode

MyCareer is the most popular mode in the NBA 2K series and for good reason. Starting in 2K14 it became more of a story mode than a standard career mode and has benefited greatly from that by providing a uniquely compelling experience that is unmatched in the genre. In 2K15 there's a brand new storyline which will click with some, various improvements and additions made, and some areas where it could really use some work.  (more…)...
  • Soundtrack for NBA Live 15

EA Sports has released the full list of songs that are included in NBA Live 15. The soundtrack has been put together by MICK who was also involved with Live 14. No promises have been made that new songs will be added throughout the season - as was the case with Live 14 and never fulfilled - but it wouldn't be surprising if it were to happen this time around. You can listen to the playlist through Soundcloud here. The soundtrack is made up of mostly unknowns and that could be refresh...
  • EA Making Server Stability a Selling Point of NBA Live 15

It's certainly no coincidence that while NBA 2K15 struggles with its servers, resulting in inaccessible modes or some that have yet to function properly at all, that EA Sports has come out to proclaim their upcoming game will not experience similar problems. A few mentions from the company related to NBA Live 15 lately have raised eyebrows. It's an area where they can take advantage but the same could have been said last year and they failed to do so.  (more…)...
  • What Has Your Experience Been Thus Far With NBA 2K15?

NBA 2K15 has been out for nearly a week now and there's a lot it does exceptionally well. Unfortunately it is also hampered by widespread server problems that affect nearly the whole game not just online modes and other issues like many have had with the face scanning feature. The experience then will vary from person to person depending on where time is being spent. There's a big difference for those playing the offline MyLeague mode vs those who bought the game to play MyTeam or MyPark ...
