NBA 2K16 offers up a fantastic suite of customization options for creating team logos, arenas, and uniforms. Many though may not know where to find it all, how to best utilize the options, or that the ability to do any of it even exists at all. (more…)...

NBA Live 16 is a fun game to play, but is that enough to catapult the series to a place where it has become actual competition - and is potentially worth a purchase decision - after five years of misery? Check out the complete review of the game over at Sporting News today. For those on the fence, the demo is a great opportunity to get a feel for the game as it contains pretty much everything that's new to Live for this year. EA Sports is even keeping the online Pro-Am portion of it...

In the meantime here are some gameplay videos captured from the early hours with 2K16. There are segments of gameplay from college in MyCareer, Online Play Now, and MyPark - more to be added taking a look at different modes later toda...

In what may be a first for 2K Sports and the NBA 2K series the servers are holding up on a release day! NBA 2K16 came out at midnight and not only have the servers been completely stable and online, but the games being played have been practically flawless. The servers in recent years have been especially critical for NBA 2K because so much of the game is tied into the online connection requirement. If the servers are down, modes in progress such as MyCareer and MyGM can not be played ...

The demo for NBA Live 16 has essentially showcased all the major improvements to the game for this year with the online Pro-Am modes and of course basic gameplay. That makes the EA Access trial period less of an event, but there's a lot that has opened up through it as well. I'm working towards a review for Sporting News that will go up Monday. Until then, check out some of the early gameplay videos that have been captured from the full game!  (more…)...

With only two days to go until release 2K Sports is still in the process of revealing features for NBA 2K16. Today it's a look at changes made to standard online ranked games. Play Now Online in 2K16 features a "league" system that is similar in nature to Online Seasons in various EA Sports games. Winning games will prompt movement up to higher leagues while losing will mean relegation to a lower one. There are some differences though as coming out on top with lower rated (by tier) ...

Back in July it was discovered that 2K Sports had obtained the license for at least 11 universities for use in an unknown capacity within NBA 2K16. It has now been confirmed that only 10 schools will appear in the game. Arizona, Georgetown, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan, Texas, UCLA, UConn, Villanova, and Wisconsin will be be the options to choose from in 2K16's MyCareer story mode. There are playable elements to both the high school and college portion of the story. As expected the tim...
