    The second roster update for NBA 2K17 has just gone out and not only does it deliver the first ratings changes for the season but one legend has been returned to the game.     The PS4 Pro is just days away from release and two of the biggest sports games will be ready to take advantage of its capabilities at launch.     In recent years 2K Sports has been ready with roster updates for NBA 2K in advance of and coinciding with the start of the regular season.     While an opening day roster update has yet to arrive for NBA 2K17 there are two features tied to the day-to-day of the league that were activated this morning following the first night of action.     Last year 2K Sports attempted to launch the NBA 2K series as an eSport, however the mode chosen to do so and poor structure in place resulted in a totally flawed competition. Rampant cheating, advantages to those who paid money, and a patch that altered play mid-event all contributed to the disaster. The 2K Pro-Am didn't change much for NBA 2K17 but new problems have arisen and others have lingered since launch.  (more…)...

    The second post-release patch for NBA 2K17 has just gone live on PlayStation 4 and is expected to reach Xbox One in the near future. It's another massive update at 7.1 GB - the same as the first which went out in late September on PS4 and just last week on XB1. [Update 10/14] The patch is now also available on Xbox One and PC.     One of the bigger complaints about NBA 2K17 in the over two weeks since it has released has regarded shooting percentages, particularly when the shots are being contested.
