Early 2017 NBA Live console game cancelled, but EA planning release for next fall
The NBA Live franchise has now been delayed or cancelled four times over a seven year span. In releasing last quarter's fiscal report earlier today, EA Sports revealed the remaining release schedule for their calendar year that runs through the end of March. After being listed in Q4 (Jan-Mar) since NBA Live 17 was announced as being "delayed" last May the game has now been dropped from the calendar. It's not unusual to discover a game has been delayed or cancelled in this manner. In th...

2017 All-Star rosters updated in NBA 2K17
The rosters for the 2017 NBA All-Star Game were filled out yesterday with the announcement of the reserves and now today the teams have been updated in NBA 2K17. Last week the uniforms were added but even still the game in 2K17 is played in last year's venue of Toronto. Hopefully that'll be updated to New Orleans with the 2017 ASG court soon.
Based on the NBA 2K17 player ratings the Western Conference has the stronger roster. The average Overall Rating is 91.4 compared to the Ea...

It's been over a month since last checking in with the player ratings in NBA 2K17 and in that time there have been a few updates reacting to roster changes and player performance.
LeBron James remains the highest rated player in the game at 96 Overall but there have been some changes with other MVP-caliber players. Kevin Durant and James Harden (+1) are back to 95, tying with Russell Westbrook and Kawhi Leonard as the next highest rated in 2K17.

The first sign of life for the next NBA Live console game may have come from Korea
The South Korea Ratings Board recently classified a game called "The Drive to NBA Live" for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This may be the first indication that the new NBA Live promised by EA to be out before April is nearing release, or the translation could be literal as far as it being an introduction in the form of a demo for that upcoming game. In America the Entertainment Software Rating Board has not rated anything new NBA Live.
EA has a strong presence in South Korea wit...
The best NBA 2K17 ‘Start Today’ teams for different challenges with the new year
Many look at Christmas Day as the unofficial start to the NBA season. It's an excessively long 82 game season after all with a great number of them being perceived as largely, if not completely meaningless. That has especially been the case in the age of "super teams" with fans just waiting for the Playoffs when those few teams will inevitably go head-to-head.
That however is something that can be played out differently in video games and the new 'Start Today' feature for MyLeague Mode in...
Christmas uniforms added to NBA 2K17
Today NBA 2K17 received an update that delivered the Christmas Day uniforms. Though they are labeled as "2015-16" on the team selection screen they are the versions that will be worn on Sunday by the 10 teams in action. Additionally all teams that wear the Christmas jerseys have the special Stance socks for the occasion which features a brand new design this year.
The updated Christmas jerseys are actually available for all 30 teams but here's a look at the 10 that will be playing on t...
NBA 2K17’s next Park After Dark scheduled for December 30 with Future
The first ever Park After Dark held in late November turned out to be a pretty big bust for NBA 2K17. The concept of having music personalities DJ special Park events was intriguing but the servers simply haven't shown the capability of handling event-type crowds. Needless to say it was a poorly conceived idea by 2K Sports to promote a feature that was specifically designed to draw as many people possible at one time onto the servers.
Despite that the feature moves on to its second of at ...
