March Madness 08 initial impressions
After having played over the last two days I wanted to get my basic impressions of the game down. I still have more I'd like to experiment with such as the difficulty levels and sliders along with online play. I'll be playing some more and posting a few additional videos late tonight and on Monday. So here are my thoughts on March Madness 08 so far.
Overall I am enjoying the game but there are some things that take away from that which I'll get into. I feel like the more I play it the bet...
March Madness 08 upped speed and classic team videos
Here is a set of videos featuring classic teams. 1990 Loyola Marymount @ 1990 UNLV, 1989 Michigan @ 1983 Houston, and 1982 North Carolina @ 1968 UCLA.
Also I have up one with Marquette @ Davidson with the game speed slider pushed up to about 60% from the about 35% that it falls on with default. I'll be interested to see if you guys think that improves the way the game appears to play. It didn't feel like it smoothened the game out much but the slightly faster tempo felt more natural to me...
Three more March Madness 08 gameplay videos
This time instead of an entire game I have around four minutes from three different ones. Maryland @ Villanova, Wisconsin @ Tennessee, and Penn State @ Texas. These were all played on varsity difficulty and default settings.
Up next will be some classic videos and a shorter clip with the game speed pushed up to compare to the default. I should have my initial impressions of the game up by Sunday morning. Continue on to view the videos.

March Madness 08 full game #2
Here is another full game once again broken down into three videos. This matchup has the Oregon Ducks traveling to face the Washington Huskies. Varsity difficulty with 10 minute halves and default settings.
I'm not sure why but this one just seemed to flow better than the first. Even the game speed seemed a little quicker. I think you guys will notice the difference between the two. Part of it probably has to do with how I'm beginning to get more comfortable with the controls and the type...
First full game of March Madness 08
Here is the first full game I played of March Madness 08. Featured is the USC Trojans @ UCLA Bruins. The game was played on varsity difficulty with default settings and 10 minute halves.
So you'll notice UCLA's jerseys immediately because the players all are wearing short shorts. I chose those on accident. The game doesn't tell you which are throwbacks and which aren't. They just state "home" or "away". And since it just shows the jersey and with UCLA's the only difference between the two...
March Madness 08 coverage set to begin
Unless some unforeseen circumstances occur I am expecting my copy of March Madness 08 to arrive today. I should have some time to compile my initial impressions compared to the demo and post a video or two. The demo was disappointing to me however EA has stated that they made adjustments based on the feedback and that will be the first thing that I really look for. I've found in the past that the demos don't always accurately represent how the final version of the game feels anyway.

Updates on a few of the upcoming games
Over the past couple days some news has arrived on several of the upcoming releases. Summaries for each game are below.
March Madness 08- I've added a bunch of new screenshots to the gallery and make sure to check out the Q&A I recently posted. I'm expecting to have my copy of the game next week and as usual the prerelease coverage will include impressions and videos.
NFL Tour- I will be getting hands-on time with NFL Tour in about two weeks. I'll be following up by posting my impr...
March Madness 08 Q&A
About a week back I looked for some input for a March Madness producer Q&A. Along with some of the suggestions that were given I formed others mostly based off the demo and the reaction to it.
What I really appreciated about this was that every question was responded to and in a straight forward manner. Hopefully these responses help clarify some topics that have been discussed throughout the community. Continue on to check out the full Q&A.
