A new posting has gone up on the Inside EA Blog detailing some of the visual enhancements in NBA Live 10. Several screenshots of Carmelo Anthony are featured to show off the work that has been done in areas such as player likenesses, accurate tattoos, shoes, and uniforms. There is also a look at the new gym "The Hanger" that will replace the one from last year that was used for shooting around and the NBA Academy. You can check out the full article and screens here. For the visuals, things ...

The "first look" trailer for NBA Live 10 is out now courtesy of IGN and focuses on footage from the Cavs @ Magic. This is one of those trailers that will show a lot of flash so the value will come from checking out the graphics, signature additions, and flow of movement and animations. I'm usually not impressed by early hype trailers but this one looks especially good. Continue on to check out the video and leave your thoughts in the comments! (more…)...

The initial features list on the NBA Live 10 website displayed highly regarded returning features and modes such as Live 365 and Online Team Play. The only new element had to do with Playoff atmosphere. So while the focus may be on gameplay it seemed likely they were holding back on revealing any other additions. Now the website has updated to include more features minus full descriptions, leading to speculation about what they could be. Advanced User Control - Brings you never before us...

The launch of the NBA Live 10 website also brought about a page describing some of the features in the game. Of the items listed only one is actually new. At this point it is probably safe to assume that they are holding back on describing the larger improvements or additions after the events of last year proved why holding off can sometimes be necessary. However it also could signal strong attention to gameplay enhancements rather than adding features. The strength of the 09 was its wide fe...

The website for NBA Live 10 launched earlier this evening and with it came new screenshots and what appears to be the slogan for this year. The site also confirms the already known date of Tuesday October 6th for release. The slogan is "Authentic basketball experience...all season long". This is clearly referring to the Live 365 feature but also points towards the desire to produce more of a sim game that has the authentic touches (such as unique player routines) that fans can get really ...

It looks like Dwight Howard has posted the first video showing off NBA Live 10. The footage comes from a media event yesterday with the introductions and pre-game rituals on display. While it doesn't offer a lot it does show a change to the intro presentation and how the game will have a bunch of signature rituals not just Lebron's powder toss as featured in the only screenshot released thus far. Check out the video here and then leave your thoughts in the comments!...

Over at Joystiq they've been able to uncover what appears to be a new quasi-game from 2K Sports that will tie in with NBA 2K10. Called NBA 2K10: Draft Combine, the game will allow users to run potential draftees through the ringer and increase their stats for transferring over to NBA 2K10. It would be a downloadable only game available on XBL and PSN. You can read their story on it here. No word on potential pricing or tie-ins with NBA 2K10. Certainly from the description it would be diff...
  • NBA Live 10 Top Rookie DNA

This week's blog posting for NBA Live 10 goes into great detail on the DNA that Blake Griffin, Hasheem Thabeet, and Stephen Curry will be starting the season with. The article also shows how those particular players are expected to affect their team's DNA. You can check out the full posting here. The luxury of having Dynamic DNA is that each year when you have new rookies in the NBA, as a NBA video game, you don't start from scratch with made up / subjective ratings and tendencies. This is...
