As the popularity of the NBA 2K franchise has risen the online performance has taken a sharp decline in its wake. Last year the Team Up mode was introduced however it was never able to consistently handle the load of multiple users being connected into one online game. With NBA 2K10 it has now been five days and online is still completely unreliable and some modes aren't even functional. If there is one thing I've always pushed for on the site it is companies living up to their promises a...

The last few years have brought strong online support from EA Canada. The titles out of there such as FIFA, NHL, and NBA Live have received new online modes while simultaneously improving the online performance despite the surging number of users to handle. NBA Live 10 continues that trend with excellent online play. (more…)...

Yesterday was the first first time getting together to play Adidas Live Run games in NBA Live 10. The Pastapadre squad may be 1-13 but no one seemed to mind. It was a fun evening and the one win was ultra-satisfying coming over a team that trash talked in pre-game and touted their being "ranked 13th in the world". You can check out all of the results and stats on the website. There will definitely be future Live Run sessions set up so keep an eye out if you're interested in joining in....

One of the difficulties that comes with cooperative modes in sports games is arranging for a group of people to be on at the same time. While NBA Live 10 includes the ability to jump into Online Team Play games with Adidas Live Run you form a squad and build that up with members who are eligible to play. Earlier I posted up my impressions of the mode. It provides a good explanation of what it's all about and includes videos of the action. So I thought this would be a good time to coordina...

The news and videos for NCAA Basketball 10 began just a few days ago but now we have our second video displaying the new presentation in the game. First it was the CBS presentation that was shown. The latest video shows off how ESPN is integrated to mimic the broadcasts that the network provides. Depending on the day of the week or the tournament you'll get the CBS or ESPN presentation in dynasty mode. What I think NCAA Basketball 10 is really nailing here is that presentation isn't about...

Not only does NCAA Basketball 10 have the CBS presentation as shown in the recent video, but it will use the ESPN presentation as well. Depending on the day a game is played or the tournament being played in you'll get the respective full presentation of either ESPN or CBS. We have full ESPN broadcast integration for the first time, says Dougan. It looks exactly like you see on television. All of the intros, fly-ins, movies, graphics, announcers [Dick Vitale, Brad Nessler, Erin Andrews] ââ...

In a video released today it has been revealed that NCAA Basketball 10 will integrate the presentation of CBS telecasts. The commentators will be the team of Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery. NCAA Basketball was in dire need of a refreshed experience and a way to differentiate itself from the feel of the the professional basketball games. This definitely appears to be a big step towards doing just that. Continue on to view the new video and leave your thoughts in the comments! (more&helli...
  • Release Day Problems for NBA 2K10

The official forums for NBA 2K10 are currently in an uproar over issues being seen with NBA 2K10. Primarily the focus is on the framerate dropping in games and in My Player mode, along with poor online play performance or the inability to play online at all. The framerate and online issues should not come as a surprise to 2K or consumers. Framerate slowdown has been pointed out in previews, reviews, my impressions, and user impressions across the web. Even 2K9 had trouble with keeping a c...
