A big topic of discussion right now coming out of the NBA Elite 11 demo is what is being referred to as the "hook shot glitch". It really isn't a glitch since it was programmed this way, but is a pretty obvious exploit that needs to be addressed. It makes shooting, even three pointers, very easy by removing half of the equation. It is fair to question how it got past the design stage and testing. Continue on to check out a video walkthrough of the issue as well as one of it in action during ga...

Yesterday the player ratings for the starting rosters in NBA 2K11 were released and JaVale McGee of the Washington Wizards is displeased with how he is represented in the game. McGee is rated a 59 making him better than only two starting centers in the whole league. He also complained that former teammate Antawn Jamison is rated a 71, saying he should be at least an 80. McGee is considered a player with a great deal of potential and he put up decent stats considering limited playing time la...

2K Sports has released overall player ratings for the starting lineups of each team in NBA 2K11 via Operation Sports. Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, and Kobe Bryant are tied as the highest rated players with a 97 rating. Chris Paul comes in at 95, Carmelo Anthony gets a 93, and Deron Williams follows with a 92. Kevin Durant pulls in a 91 which then seems noticeably low and begs the question of whether they docked him cause he's the cover athlete for Elite. John Wall is as expected the highest rook...

Love it or hate it the demo for NBA Elite 11 provides plenty of content to gauge the game on by including regular gameplay, career mode gameplay, and the tutorials and practice gym. Anyone on the fence or at all curious about Elite gets the opportunity to try it out and judge it. This is a game that has gone through a major revamp and is trying to present something new and fresh. The effort to do so can be appreciated but what really matters is whether the game is a good representation of the ...

  • NBA Elite 11 Bynum Demo Glitch Video

A video now being widely circulated (posted about in the comments here and featured on Kotaku) shows a glitch in the NBA Elite 11 demo where Andrew Bynum gets stuck in a "Jesus pose" or "Jordan Wings" at half court and remains there the rest of the game. It is funny to watch, not just in seeing it but also in the gamer's reaction to it. Instances such as this, while rare to see happen more than once, are not uncommon in games. It isn't as though it has been widely reported and to compare 2K...
