NBA 2K11 Patch Arrives for 360
The patch for NBA 2K11 that made it out for the PS3 last week went live for the 360 this morning. It has been described as simply dealing with online stability and does not deliver any gameplay improvements or fixes to other issues. A comprehensive patch based partly on community feedback is being targeted for late this month or early December.

NBA Elite 11 Officially Canceled
It was only a matter of time before it was made official and today EA Sports announced that NBA Elite 11 has been completely canceled. Originally framed as a "delay" it was obvious the game would never see the light of day despite the company reportedly not having made any final decisions on its fate. When the news hit that the franchise was being shifted to the Tiburon studio it only cemented further that it was finished.

NBA Elite Being Moved to Tiburon
EA Sports' NBA franchise is being moved to the Tiburon studio as reported by 1Up. The news has not been confirmed but comes on a day where layoffs are beginning to take place. All this patch provides however are some stability fixes for online play such as improving the matchmaking process. There are no fixes for the freezing being experienced in My Player mode or gameplay improvements coming with this first patch.

The basics regarding NBA Jam for the 360 and PS3 came out earlier this week. The game will be released on Tuesday November 16th for $50 and includes all the modes found in the Wii version. New NBA Jam HD Screenshots
A set of 12 new screenshots for NBA Jam can now be found in the gallery. They do well in displaying the relatively drastic difference graphically between the upcoming 360/PS3 version and Wii version. A few of the screens feature legends Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Spud Webb, and Dominique Wilkins.

Retailers are now listing NBA Jam for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and in the process have revealed the release date and price for the game. It was just a week ago that we learned NBA Jam HD would be a full retail release and not a downloadable offering. Many expected the game to end up being sold for the standard $60 given that the Wii version went for $50 and did not include online play or the HD graphics.
