Majesco Announces New NBA Game and Purchase of QUICKHIT NFL Football
Majesco has made news on two fronts today. The first is that the company has signed an agreement with the NBA to produce an original arcade-style franchise. Few details about the game are known other than it will be motion-control based and release in spring 2012.

NBA Extends Licensing Agreements with EA Sports and 2K Sports
Today the NBA announced new multi-year licensing agreements with both Take Two and Electronic Arts to produce official video games for the league. The agreement covers both simulation and arcade titles for consoles, web, and mobile devices.

EA Sports Bails on NBA Jam Support
EA Sports has released a statement in regards to NBA Jam laying out that the game will be receiving no further post-release support. When NBA Jam released in November it did so with rosters that were already out of date at the time. NBA Jam Coming to iPhone
Just days after discovering Fight Night Champion is being worked on for a release on mobile platforms comes the first look at another EA Sports franchise set to make the move. NBA Jam is being developed for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad with no release date yet determined. One would imagine EA would be targeting April to coincide with the NBA Playoffs.
