    With two significant patches already out for NBA Playgrounds the development team at Saber Interactive has been working towards another content update which is already out on PS4 and PC and expected soon for Xbox One.     It has been a difficult process for developer Saber Interactive with NBA Playgrounds on Nintendo Switch since releasing on May 9. The game shipped without online functionality and consumers were promised that would be patched in within a few days.     It has now been over six weeks since NBA Playgrounds released and yet half the game is still missing. A patch to add online play originally promised for a few days after release remains in limbo.     Another significant patch is rolling out for NBA Playgrounds - available already on PS4 and PC and coming soon to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The update adds 35 more players to the roster (the previous patch brought in 15 new players), the Seattle SuperSonics are now a team within the game with versions of Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp available so far, four new offline tournament locations have been introduced, and changes have been made to improve gameplay and other aspects of the game. ...

    It has been nearly a month since the release of NBA Playgrounds and yet those on Nintendo Switch are still without online play. The promise was that online would be added within days of its launch but consumers there still find themselves waiting for half the game to be delivered. Saber Interactive today announced that they will be providing Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn for free to those with the Switch version of Playgrounds for failing to get that done.  (more…)...

    Two weeks ago when NBA Playgrounds released there was real potential identified in the game that was unfortunately held back by some gameplay and design missteps.
