NBA 2K11 Update Reflects Weekend Trades
The eight players that were on the move due to the two trades completed over the weekend have been adjusted in the Living Rosters for NBA 2K11. Gilbert Arenas, Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson, and Earl Clark are now on the Orlando Magic. Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus, and Marcin Gortat are with the Suns, while Rashard Lewis has joined the Washington Wizards. In typical Vince Carter fashion though reports are now that he is considering knee surgery which would sideline him for at least a month....

Suns, Wizards, and Magic Move Big Names
Two significant trades today have shifted a large number of players in the NBA and the Orlando Magic were involved in both of them. They have received Gilbert Arenas, Jason Richardson, Earl Clark, and Hedo Turkoglu. They send away Vince Carter, Marcin Gortat, and Mickael Pietrus to the Phoenix Suns and Rashard Lewis to the Wizards. Madden 11: Top Sports Game in November
Last year Madden 10 was the top sports game in November and the series has traditionally done well over the holidays. However given the huge sales boost that NBA 2K11 received the expectation was that game would maintain its lead. Despite NBA 2K11 doubling its opening month sales in October and finishing in first place it fell to ninth in November while Madden 11 landed in fourth. (more…)...

2K Punishes Tony Parker for Infidelity
Typically events that take place away from the action of the sport are not reflected in player ratings. A few weeks ago Madden 11 dropped the stamina rating of Donovan McNabb after he was knocked for his conditioning by his coach. That was amusing and even made sense given his history and context of ratings adjustments due to performance. NBA 2K11 Patch Now Available
The comprehensive patch detailed yesterday is now available for the 360 and PS3 versions of NBA 2K11. The PC version is slated to receive it at a later date. As long as the consoles are connected online the prompt to download the patch will appear at start-up. 2K Sports has released the full list of details for the upcoming patch to NBA 2K11. It is scheduled to arrive early tomorrow morning for the PS3, tomorrow for the 360, and undetermined for the PC as the approval process is being completed.
