    2K Sports announced today that NBA 2K16 has set a new franchise record with four million copies "sold-in" after just one week of release. That means 2K has shipped four million - a stunning number - but it will take some time before retailers have "sold through" them. Digital sales of 2K16 have doubled compared to 2K15 and the number of online games that have been played have tripled year-over-year.     The companion app for NBA 2K16 went out today - get it for iOS here and Android here. For the past two years theĀ app has been a great way to earn bonus VC every day but also includes other features likeĀ chat capability for MyPark and access to the MyPlayer Store, plus it's where you'll find the MyTeam Mobile game.Ā  (more…)...

    Remarkable for the sheer amountĀ of content provided within along with excellent gameplay and presentation, NBA 2K16 is an all-time great sports game.     In what may be a first for 2K Sports and the NBA 2K series the servers are holding up on a release day! NBA 2K16 came out at midnight and not only have the servers been completelyĀ stable and online, but the games being played have been practically flawless. The servers in recent years have been especially critical for NBA 2K because so much of the game is tied into the online connection requirement.     With only two days to go until release 2K Sports is still in the process of revealing features for NBA 2K16. Today it's a look at changes made to standard online ranked games. Play Now Online in 2K16 features a "league" system that is similar in nature to Online Seasons in various EA Sports games.
