  • MyNBA2K17 mobile app will have face-scanning capability

The mobile companion app for NBA 2K17 will be introducing some new functionality to tie in with the game. After two years of having the ability to scan in faces for created MyPlayer characters by using the Kinect or PS4 Camera the job will now be done by the MyNBA2K17 app. That's good news considering the scanning won't be limited to those with the cameras and the process had been frustratingly difficult to complete and simply never worked for some people. Earning extra VC has been the pr...

Please enable Javascript to watch this video 2K Sports today released a gameplay trailer for NBA 2K17, which follows a teaser trailer that featured the USA Olympic teams earlier this month. There isn't a whole lot to learn from the trailer - for some gameplay related observations head over to check out the hands-on impressions that come from Polygon - but considering how starved everyone is for anything 2K17 with just over three weeks until release it's at least a start that will hopefull...

There's now just barely over four weeks until NBA 2K17 releases. It's the second-earliest a licensed NBA video game will have ever released (NBA Shootout 2002 came out 9/1/2001). Yet here with are with practically nothing known about the game even still. Now, 2K Sports is pretty well known for releasing info later in the yearly cycle than other publishers. But what's different this time around is that it's much later than even their typical M.O. for handling the massively popular NBA 2K f...

With just five weeks until NBA 2K17 releases the game still remains largely a mystery. Outside of the franchise modes getting league expansion and the inclusion of the USA's Olympic teams there's practically nothing else known about what'll be new this year. Now though 2K Sports has provided at least a glimpse at the game with the first trailer which is naturally focused on showcasing the 2016 National Team and 1992 Dream Team. Unfortunately the trailer acts as only a tease as it's still...

It's somewhat hard to believe but with NBA 2K17 releasing earlier than all but one league-licensed NBA game ever before there aren't even seven full weeks to go now until it's out. The announcement of this year's Olympic Men's National Team made on Wednesday however didn't even bring with it the first screenshot from 2K17. Later that day though the Team USA website included the first look at the game which had all sorts of graphical errors most notable among them players embarrassingly ...

Four years ago in NBA 2K13 the 2012 Men's National Team and 1992 Dream Team were featured. When Paul George was revealed as the cover athlete for NBA 2K17, and the cover included him wearing a Team USA jersey, it became clear that this year's team would be part of the upcoming game. Today 2K Sports confirmed that along with the return of the 1992 Dream Team as part of the pre-order bonus. The official release from 2K Sports failed to mention any new unique ways in which the teams will be ...
