Many look at Christmas Day as the unofficial start to the NBA season. It's an excessively long 82 game season after all with a great number of them being perceived as largely, if not completely meaningless. That has especially been the case in the age of "super teams" with fans just waiting for the Playoffs when those few teams will inevitably go head-to-head. That however is something that can be played out differently in video games and the new 'Start Today' feature for MyLeague Mode in...

Today NBA 2K17 received an update that delivered the Christmas Day uniforms. Though they are labeled as "2015-16" on the team selection screen they are the versions that will be worn on Sunday by the 10 teams in action. Additionally all teams that wear the Christmas jerseys have the special Stance socks for the occasion which features a brand new design this year. The updated Christmas jerseys are actually available for all 30 teams but here's a look at the 10 that will be playing on the...
  • NBA 2K17’s next Park After Dark scheduled for December 30 with Future

The first ever Park After Dark held in late November turned out to be a pretty big bust for NBA 2K17. The concept of having music personalities DJ special Park events was intriguing but the servers simply haven't shown the capability of handling event-type crowds. Needless to say it was a poorly conceived idea by 2K Sports to promote a feature that was specifically designed to draw as many people possible at one time onto the servers. Despite that the feature moves on to its second of at ...

Earlier in the month Kawhi Leonard passed by Stephen Curry to hold that honor. The fourth post-release patch for NBA 2K17 is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as on PC. The earlier updates made to the game have addressed the ability to release roster updates, added PS4 Pro support, fixed the shot meter and various bugs, and tweaked gameplay and presentation. Despite that major issues have remained most notably related to CPU defensive AI and the game's online Pro-Am mode. The new patch doesn't note any changes to the big defensive AI concerns tha...

Despite the launch of multiple virtual reality headsets - led by PlayStation VR, Vive, and Rift - sports games haven't played much of a role with them as of yet. There are currently no league-licensed titles for VR but it appears that's about to change. The trophy list for the "NBA 2KVR Experience" has leaked out revealing some of what to expect from the game which could release by the end of the year but has yet to even be announced by 2K Sports. As would be expected for virtual reality...
