    Early screenshots have demonstrated various visual improvements but now 2K Sports is going into greater detail on the graphical work that has been done for NBA 2K18.     For the second year now fans will be able to start their MyCareer in NBA 2K a week prior to release. The free Prelude will go out on Friday, September 8 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Prelude for NBA 2K17 featured the college portion of the story mode which involved 10 different licensed universities and a series of games.     There's no doubt that 2K Sports has admirably invested in its franchise modes in recent years but the experiences between MyGM and MyLeague were not dramatically different besides the customization freedom given by the latter. With NBA 2K18 the MyGM mode is becoming more narrative-driven, making it more along the lines of the MyCareer player story mode but playing the role of general manager instead.  (more…)...

    2K Sports has released three screenshots for NBA 2K18 featuring players who are tied to the game's marketing campaign. Paul George with the Thunder, Canadian cover athlete DeMar DeRozan, and Isaiah Thomas get the push today. That leaves standard edition cover athlete Kyrie Irving, Karl-Anthony Towns, Damian Lillard, Joel Embiid and Devin Booker still to come.     Barring an unexpected transaction this summer the Houston Rockets will enter NBA 2K18 with the highest rated backcourt in the game. By acquiring Chris Paul in a trade today they've passed by the Golden State Warriors duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Paul is rated 91 Overall making him the third best point guard 2K.
