MLB 10: The Show Videos
As I continue to play the new baseball titles and collect general and online impressions I've also recorded some videos from MLB 10: The Show that I figured would be worth posting up, especially given that the demo did not even come out this week. In this group of videos there are two focusing on gameplay, one with an inning of Rangers @ Mariners and the other a stretch of action with the Reds @ Marlins. There is also a video with an appearance in Road to the Show and a run through of the ...
MLB 2K10 Online Play Troubles
I've been looking forward to testing out the online play for the new baseball titles given that they have struggled performance wise in the past. MLB 2K9 actually ran relatively well online so I had hope that would be the case again this year but issues abound already for MLB 2K10.

While continuing to respond to some of the early issues being experienced on the first day of release, SCEA has already pushed the first patch for MLB 10: The Show out. MLB 10: The Show Issues Being Addressed
SCEA has sent word that some early issues which have been discovered in MLB 10: The Show are either being fixed or are in the process of being investigated. The two most significant appear to be low "potential" ratings affecting players across the league and the classic stadiums not unlocking with the provided codes.
The classic stadiums are not being opened up for use after entering the pre-order code. While the code is accepted the stadiums remain unavailable and attempting the code agai...
MLB 2K10 Hard Drive Evaluation
With MLB 2K10 in hand I have gone through and timed different loading areas when running off the disc compared to running off the hard drive on the 360. Installing to the hard drive not only has proven to cut down on load times, in some cases significantly, but it also reduces stress to the system and the noise it produces. For MLB 2K10 the actual install process took 10:50 which is the longest install time to date and has produced marginal improvements to loading times.

Your Early Thoughts on MLB 10: The Show
With MLB 10: The Show now out here is an opportunity to post some thoughts on the game. There are still no reviews published which is somewhat surprising especially combined with the lack of a demo but for the most part there remains strong consumer confidence in the product. I'll be spending time with the game over the next few days posting videos, impressions, and especially focusing on the online play performance. You can follow me on Twitter where I'll be noting some things as I go through...
MLB 2K10 Perfect Game Contest Rules
For anyone planning to make attempts at winning the $1 million perfect game contest in MLB 2K10 it is important to be aware of the rules. You will not qualify by simply throwing a perfect game. Instead you must meet all the requirements which include beginning the recording from before the TV is even turned on and avoiding pausing the game or making a mound visit. There is some subjectivity to this as well as any video recording deemed to be "low quality" will be thrown out. Continue on to rea...
Potential Epic Meltdown Nearing For The Show’s Release (Updated)
A huge problem with what appears to be related to the internal clock took down many PS3's on Sunday evening. The situation is approaching where the games to be released on Tuesday, including MLB 10: The Show, could be unplayable for a large number of gamers. The issue at hand prevents the console from connecting to PSN and keeps games that support trophies from being played even offline.
