2K Sports has released the details of the upcoming patch for MLB 2K10. The patch is currently in certification for the Xbox 360 and should be out within the next two weeks barring any complications being encountered during the process. (Update) The patch is expected to be released as early as tomorrow. The patch adds in check swings, attempts to fix the problem of CPU pitchers staying in the game beyond reasonable pitch counts, and supposedly will resolve the major issue that has prevented ...

The MLB: The Show franchise has produced what has been widely regarded to be some of the best sports titles over the past few years but one major deficiency has held the series back. The online play options and performance has always been terrible, or at the very least disappointing, especially compared to how other games have advanced in the area. After spending some time online with MLB 10: The Show and reading a large number of accounts from others it can be determined that overall the perf...

While MLB 10: The Show gamers lament the fact that a patch won't even start being worked on until the end of the month, 2K Sports has announced that they have completed a patch for MLB 2K10 and have submitted it to Microsoft for certification. That means it should be arriving within the next two weeks barring complications in the certification process. Details on what the patch entails have not been provided. Hopefully it includes toned down fielder arm strength, will fix the issue preventi...

With the numerous issues being found in MLB 10: The Show, the heavy concentration of which are seen in Franchise mode, it would stand to reason that a patch would be expedited. However it is now being realized that the next patch will be a long ways off as work on it won't even begin until the end of the month. That could make its targeted arrival late April, but even that isn't going to be assured and it could very well be longer. As posted today on the MLB: The Show Community Forum by SCEA ...

While mentioned around release time there are a bunch of problems in Franchise mode for MLB 10: The Show. SCEA has been actively tracking  these and responding with potential fixes to be implemented down the line. The roles seemingly have reversed this year as MLB 2K10 struggles with online play and The Show faces troubles in offline modes primarily Franchise. The roster update that came out earlier today fixed the player "potential" grades however it left the inordinate number of "A" ra...

The roster update for MLB 10: The Show that was scheduled to be released today is out now. This update is particularly anticipated because it carries with it a fix to the player potential grades that was damaging franchise mode. For those of you who don't have online access I have made the update available for download here. Players that had "potential" rating below what they should have received adjustments in this update. However there still seems to be an inordinate number of 'A' rated m...

After investigating the issue previously reported on, 2K Sports now states that the fix to online play will be coming via patch. That means that ranked games, at least on a frequent basis, could be largely inaccessible for at a minimum of a few weeks. More likely it will be well over a month under the assumption that they roll it into the first gameplay patch. To give an idea of the severity of this online problem had it been discovered by Microsoft and Sony then MLB 2K10 would have failed ...

As I continue to play the new baseball titles and collect general and online impressions I’ve also recorded some videos from MLB 2K10 that I figured would be worth posting up. In this group of videos there are two focusing on gameplay, one with the first inning of Padres @ Diamondbacks and the other an inning of Astros @ Pirates. There is also a video with my first appearance made in My Player mode in the pressure situation. Continue on to check out the videos and leave your thoughts ...
