With MLB 2K12 now in hand info, impressions, and videos will roll out through the weekend and early into the week. First in line are team ratings followed later today by the top player ratings. The Texas Rangers come in as the best team overall slightly edging out the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies. The Rangers take the top spot in hitting while the Phillies capture a 99 rating in pitching. The worst team is the Houston Astros who bottom out with a pathetic 62 in hitting while...

The PS3 and PSVita versions of MLB 12: The Show offer the highly anticipated feature of being able to transfer Franchise and Road to the Show saves between them but the downside to the arrangement has been that two complete copies of the game have to be purchased. Until today there was nothing being provided as an incentive to those who were considering picking them both up. Now SCEA has announced a bundle deal that will bring $20 savings. Unfortunately the rollout of the promotion has co...

This news is not unexpected as last summer Sony made it clear that all of their first party titles would utilize them going forward. It's worth noting that not only will standard online games and leagues require ...

The demo for MLB 2K12 was a no-show with the XBL marketplace update early this AM due to an error on Microsoft's part but it has now arrived (queue up for download on the 360 here). It will go out on the PS3 when the store updates later this afternoon. Featuring three innings of a Texas Rangers @ St. Louis Cardinals World Series rematch the commentary - possibly the best aspect of the series - has unfortunately been stripped out due to file size considerations. As always leave your though...

  • MLB 12: The Show Forgoes Pre-Release Demo

MLB 12: The Show will not be receiving a pre-release demo. That a major title such as The Show would pass on putting out a demo is surprising - and it appears that the company may have made a deal with Best Buy again, as was the case with MLB 10, as in-store units have been spotted in several locations. That leaves MLB 2K12 to have the demo space to itself. It's a brilliant opportunity for 2K Sports that may or may not be capitalized on depending on whether consumers find it to be worthy of ...
