    Here is the full list of songs that will be featured on MLB 13: The Show. The sountrack features artists like The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Blink 182, and Soundgarden.     The team rankings for MLB 13: The Show slipped out last week and now comes an opportunity to see the complete rosters for every team along with the overall rating of every player. Though 17 players rated 99 there is a somewhat substantial gap between those at the top and the other highly rated players. Only 5 are rated 98 and 2 rated 97.     The full list of team rankings in MLB 13: The Show has arrived via information provided to Operation Sports. The Tigers lead the way as the top team followed by the Cardinals and Red Sox. The defending champion Giants are somehow all the way down at 17. The rankings are broken down by Overall, Batting, Pitching, and Defense.   • Trailer for MLB 2K13

    Though 2K Sports continues to actively hide MLB 2K13 for all those interested in learning anything about the game, the one sure thing that was to arrive prior to release was an official trailer. There is nothing new to be gleaned from it unfortunately as it contains just the typical flashy replay footage, with the exception of spotting that they at least got the Astros their new uniforms, but it's something anyway.  (more…)...
  • 2K Combo Pack with MLB and NBA Returns But at Reduced Value

    Last year 2K Sports bundled MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12 in early March for $70 and limited it to the Xbox 360. The combo presented a good option for those who were already interested in MLB to spend just $10 more and get NBA along with it, acting as a quasi-price drop given that game was still going for $30+ on its own at that time.     When the news broke that the MLB 2K series would be getting a one year reprieve expectations for the product were made justifiably lower than already had been normal. With a constrained development cycle and bleak outlook towards any future there became no reason to expect anything better than what would amount to an update of 2K12.     SCEA has released a new blog focusing on improvements to the online matchmaking system in MLB 13: The Show. While online has always been the achilles' heel of the series a few changes being made this year could help in that area. MLB 13 will feature matchmaking that pairs up individuals who are similarly rated in terms of their skill levels, teams, and starting pitchers.     SCEA has released a new developer video for MLB 13: The Show this time focusing on the introduction of The Show Live. The new feature delivers the ability to play any game on the schedule for the 2013 season with MLB.com feeding the proper lineups and statistics. The presentation and commentary will reflect that point in time.
