New MLB 15: The Show Trailer Will Get You Ready for Opening Day
SCEA today released another new trailer for MLB 15: The Show. It's fairly short, and doesn't offer anything new besides the footage, but does spotlight a few things of note including licensed equipment, seasonal sun and shadows, and the inclusion of legends. Just a week now until the game releases and under two weeks for the MLB season to begin.

Online Servers for MLB 14: The Show Being Shut Down in June
SCEA has announced that online functionality for MLB 14: The Show will cease on June 18 for all systems. The server shutdown will occur with only 13 months having passed since its release on PlayStation 4 last May. It also means MLB 15 will be on the market for only 10 weeks by the time MLB 14's online is closed.

OOTP 16 Available Tomorrow for Pre-Orders; Last Chance to Do So Today
Out of the Park Baseball 16, which will for the first time in the series feature MLB.com and MiLB licensing, will release tomorrow for all those that have pre-ordered the game. The early access period lasts for the weekend as come Monday it'll go out wide with its traditional launch. Check out the new features and improvements for OOTP 16 here.

Strong Interest in MLB 15: The Show as Release Approaches
Though the individual features may not necessarily be generating excitement fans of the series are clearly anticipating the upcoming MLB 15: The Show. The results of the poll posted last week showed high levels of commitment to purchasing the game with relative few still on the fence. The Show is probably the steadiest of all the sports video game franchises with sales that don't fluctuate much year-to-year so this shouldn't come as a surprise.

The latest developer live stream for MLB 15: The Show detailed the top rated players in the game - check out the lists by position posted on Sporting News - and was accompanied by more gameplay footage. As always there will be some debate over the ratings, especially since SCEA tends to weigh past (2-3 years ago) performance more heavily than other sports games while the injury-prone nature of a player does not appear to be much of a factor in the formula.
