Click here for Part 1 Next up was a series of training mini-games. One was for fielding, in which a ball machine shot at you and you had to make a play on them. Padre caught 9 and missed 2, which was good enough to move on to the one for contact hitting. In this one you had to hit enough fair balls out of 10 pitches and Padre hit 10/10. The final one was for running, in which you had to run through an obstacle course using RT to sprint and A to jump over or slide under. After completing...

Just getting back from a long day of travel and hassle, I figured I would just get home and rest up. Yet with The Bigs sitting here I couldn't resist putting it in despite feeling worn out. Here is a recap of how far I have gotten as I started on the Rookie Challenge. With the Rookie Challenge, you create a player and add him into an existing lineup. You then gain experience points based on what you accomplish to help improve your player. Basically through that you play a season mode. I cre...

With The Bigs releasing on Tuesday, what I had planned was to summarize the important parts of the reviews however I don't have a chance to do that at the moment. So for the time being I'll just compile all the reviews here. Once I return home I plan on playing this game hard and putting out a review of my own. It actually makes me anxious that I'm not there to play the game as I've been looking forward to it for quite a while. So far it looks like the game delivers what it hope...

Expect a demo for The BIGS to make its way to the Xbox Live Marketplace next week according to xboxdomain. It is unknown whether the Playstation Network will see one also. It would've been nice to have the demo prior to the release date (Tuesday the 26th) but it is a good move to put it out there nonetheless. While there has been overwhelmingly positive things said about this game from the media (and personally I'm very excited for it) it doesn't feel as if there is much buzz out th...

The Xbox 360 achievements for 2K Sports upcoming title The Bigs are now known. The entire list can be found by clicking through below to the full article. Overall it makes for a disappointing list. There are 42 different achivements which is good, however most look like they'll be captured in the first day and there are none to receive for multiplayer. (more…)...
  • Soundtrack listing for The Bigs

2K Sports has released the soundtrack list for The Bigs. It's a rock-centric lineup. I hesitate to comment on the selections as I'm far from being knowledgeable in the music arena. The rock should fit well with the style of game though. Stone Temple Pilots - Plush Screaming Trees - Nearly Lost You Jane’s Addiction - Ocean Size Killing Joke - Millennium Rollins Band - Tearing White Zombie - More Human than Human Midnight Oil - Dreamworld Fu ...

It has been a dry period for sports games since late February's releases of NBA Street: Homecourt and MLB 2K7. However we're nearing the end of that heading right towards the busiest time of the year. Here is what to expect in June. (more…)...
  • Less than a month until The Bigs hits stores

We've now crossed over the one month mark until the release of The Bigs. This is something I'm really looking forward to and have high hopes that it will deliver a fun experience. The overwhelmingly positive buzz has even been somewhat of a surprise especially when you consider it falls into the "arcade" category of sports games. I still have the baseball gaming itch. This is especially so due to the disappointing problems that caused me to lose interest quickly in MLB 2K7 such as the lack o...
