Along with the weekly roster update MLB The Show 17 also has quite a lot of new content to dig into within Diamond Dynasty mode as we head into Memorial Day Weekend. Metalhead Software today released a new video for Super Mega Baseball 2 with this one focusing on the improvements that have been made to stadiums, characters, and animations. Without licensing there's a certain creative freedom the developers can take but they're also responding to feedback received from consumers about the look of the first game. Xbox Game Pass subscription service has launched and includes some sports games
Microsoft today launched Xbox Game Pass, a subscription service that includes unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and backwards compatible games. Xbox Game Pass is $10 a month and all those with Xbox Live Gold get to start with a free 14 day trial. The sports games available through the service at launch are NBA 2K16, The Golf Club, and Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings. 2K17 could get added in the months ahead. Fifth patch for MLB The Show 17 adjusts AI manager decision-making
Another patch went live today for MLB The Show 17 weighing in at a light 47MB. Earlier updates to MLB 17 delivered continued fixes for gameplay and presentation, initial improvements to gameplay, miscellaneous adjustments, plus a few online and uniform fixes. MLB The Show 17 roster update details and Diamond Dynasty content for May 19
This week's roster update for MLB The Show 17 features far more upgrades than downgrades, and a few relievers are the biggest winners of the week. Craig Kimbrel (+4 to 92) moves to Diamond status. The boost is credited primarily to his BB/9 rating which rose by 14 points. Kimbrel is 2-0 with 12 saves, .96 ERA, and stunning .43 WHIP. Third Diamond Dynasty Event is now open in MLB The Show 17
A new online Event within Diamond Dynasty is now underway in MLB The Show 17. The "Advantage: Hitters" Event restricts teams to rosters filled with only left-handed pitchers and right-handed hitters from their collection with the team Overall Rating capped at 90. Games will be three innings and with double-elimination before having to start anew.
