I've gotten my hands on the features list for MLB 2K9. This represents the first real info for the game which is set to be in stores on March 3rd. As expected it appears that they've attempted to simplify several aspects of the game. The trading card system looks to have been improved and more has been done to add to the authenticity of the experience. Adding to a heavy couple days of baseball related content, the MLB 09 The Show cover art has now slipped out. Even though we've known that Dustin Pedroia was the cover athlete for a month and now have the actual covers for the game SCEA has yet to confirm it via press release. New MLB 09 The Show Screenshots
In addition to the earlier post announcing the upcoming MLB 09 The Show community event, a new set of screenshots for the game have been released. They can be found in the screenshot gallery and feature the Chicago Cubs and New York Mets.
