Former MLB: The Show Lead Designer Becomes Madden NFL Creative Director
There has been both a great deal of turnover and an expansion of the dev team for the Madden NFL franchise at Tiburon this year. Several top names at the studio left in the spring and their positions were filled by the likes of Cam Weber as the GM of football products, Roy Harvey taking over as the new executive producer (following Phil Frazier's departure), and Mike Young being elevated to creative director (previously held by Ian Cummings).

Adrian Gonzalez Chosen as Cover Athlete for MLB 12: The Show
SCEA has selected Boston Red Sox first baseman Adrian Gonzalez to appear on the cover of MLB 12: The Show. Gonzalez comes off his first year with Boston having batted .338 with 27 home runs and 117 RBIs along with receiving the Gold Glove at 1B in the American League.

Sony Introducing Online Pass
Sony today confirmed the introduction of their own 'Online Pass' program which appears to be dubbed the 'PSN Pass'. Starting with Resistance 3 in September SCEA's titles will restrict access to online functionality by inserting a one-time use code in copies of their games.
