  • MLB 13: The Show Release Day Roster Update

    Yesterday when the online servers went live SCEA pushed out the first roster update for MLB 13: The Show. The most significant move comes the addition of Michael Bourn to the Indians.   • More MLB 13: The Show Gameplay Videos

    Earlier this week the first opportunity to see MLB 13: The Show in action slipped out. Reaction was mostly positive except as it relates to the commentary as the faults stood out even more against the backdrop of the Playoffs where the magnitude of each event is dramatically increased. Now additional videos are available to watch and evaluate with segments of gameplay featuring the White Sox at Cubs, Royals at Phillies, Angels at Tigers, and Angels at Nationals.     SCEA has released another in the line of developer video blogs on features for MLB 13: The Show this time focusing on changes made to Road to the Show mode. This year the experience has been altered to try and develop a greater sense of being on the field in terms of presentation, audio, and cameras.     The first gameplay video for MLB 13: The Show has arrived and again it comes courtesy of CJohnson403 on Twitter. It features a NLDS game with the Braves at Nationals in Postseason mode. Though the footage is off-screen it is pretty good quality but keep in mind the audio enhancements, key to the Postseason mode, may be more difficult to discern.   • Baseball Games Forgo Demos This Year But for Very Different Reasons

    There will be no prerelease demos for MLB 2K13 and MLB 13: The Show. In the case of one, a lack of improvements and constrained development cycle would be to blame, while the other can rest on a stronger reputation negating the need in some eyes to release a demo.  (more…)...
  • MLB 13: The Show Includes Braves “Screaming Indian” Batting Practice Hat

    New Era recently revealed brand new hats for every team in MLB to be used during Spring Training and batting practices throughout the 2013 season. The styles feature secondary logos and/or different color schemes than the standard gameday caps.     Here is the full list of songs that will be featured on MLB 13: The Show. The sountrack features artists like The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Blink 182, and Soundgarden.   • Full Rosters and Overall Player Ratings in MLB 13: The Show

    The team rankings for MLB 13: The Show slipped out last week and now comes an opportunity to see the complete rosters for every team along with the overall rating of every player. Though 17 players rated 99 there is a somewhat substantial gap between those at the top and the other highly rated players. Only 5 are rated 98 and 2 rated 97.
