Originally released in early July for $6 the standalone Home Run Derby mode taken from MLB 13: The Show has now been made available for free. The mode comes with 46 players to use in the competition including Miguel Cabrera, Andrew McCutchen, Buster Posey, Bryce Harper, Prince Fielder, Evan Longoria, and yes Ryan Braun. With the All-Star festivities coming up later this month SCEA today released a separate digital download offering which features the Home Run Derby mode from MLB 13: The Show. Two recent server side updates were pushed out for MLB 13: The Show. Two patches have been released to date for the game - and no indication of another being in the pipeline - but server side updates allow for online-related issues to be targeted or minor additions made without having to go through an extensive patching process.
