In a recent Press Row Podcast episode I proposed the idea again that MLB: The Show, which has struggled mightily with online performance and stability since inception, should offer an "Extra Innings" mode online. MLB 15: The Show Full Game Live Stream
SCEA held a third developer live stream for MLB 15: The Show. The focus this time wasn't on specific features but rather just playing through the majority (a few innings were skipped) of a lengthy game between the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates. More on the Changes to Diamond Dynasty Mode in MLB 15: The Show
It's apparent this year that SCEA is making a strong effort to turn Diamond Dynasty mode into a lucrative revenue generator. It has failed to be that for them in the past, due to some perplexing and confusing design decisions and poor online experience, while Ultimate Team in EA Sports' games has become a massive force and grown exponentially over the same period.
