  • Checking in on The Show Live Mode in MLB 15: The Show

The Show Live in MLB 15 is not a new mode - it was introduced in MLB 13 - but it's something that changes by the day. The concept is to offer up the current day's slate of games (and those from earlier in the season) to play utilizing accurate lineups. There are also meant to be lines from the announcers during the games referencing their place in the season. The mode has worked fairly well in the past outside of a few quirks and inaccuracies and that's the case again this year. ...

This week's Press Row Podcast features expansive panel discussion on MLB 15: The Show with the game having been out for over a week. This is one of the rare shows I'm absent from, but for my thoughts on the game don't miss the Hits & Misses Review and the podcast from last week which included both live impression hangouts. The new podcast is a great listen to get additional perspectives on all aspects of MLB 15 and the game as a whole. Check out the podcast through iTunes for iOSÂ...
  • Looking Ahead to MLB 15 Roster Updates

    Posted April 8th, 2015 at 8:00 pm 3 Comments »
New roster updates are released by SCEA for The Show every Monday over the course of the season. With MLB 15: The Show the roster update to prepare for the new season coincided with the release of the game and there hasn't been one since given the proximity to Opening Day. The first in-season update is expected on April 13 and that will be an important one. It's the first opportunity to add any players who made their Major League debuts. As an annual reminder, players who have no...

MLB 15: The Show might very well be the most complete product in the series' history. Areas of strength have been improved upon considerably but those that have been deficient in the past for the most part continue to be so. It's one of the few sports games that can be assessed fairly easily and defined by its clear positives and negatives. That makes it a game that can be either purchased, or passed on, with confidence based on an individual's interests. Check out the full review of MLB 15:...
  • How The Legends Are Rated and Utilized in MLB 15: The Show

Though the addition of "legends" didn't really resonate with the community for MLB 15: The Show their presence in the game is at the very least worth exploring. The 30 players, one representing each franchise, are available for use in Diamond Dynasty and Franchise modes.  (more…)...

  • MLB 15: The Show Initial Impressions

Expectations for MLB 15: The Show were high heading into release, and justifiably so, as the series is arguably the most consistent in all of sports gaming. It was easy to anticipate what would be great about the game and know what likely wouldn't be up to par. That allows for a high level of confidence in buying from those interested in the product. For the most part those expectations have been precisely met. MLB 15 is a fantastic game that has improved on its strengths but done litt...
  • Press Row Hangout – Impressions of MLB 15: The Show on Day Two
    by
Posted April 1st, 2015 at 5:30 pm No Comments »
Another panel discussion on MLB 15: The Show impressions is scheduled for tonight at 11ET/8PT. As usual, those who can't make it for the live recording of the Press Row Hangout will be able to watch the archived video at any point after the show comes to an end. The Day One Press Row Hangout went for over an hour and it still only scratched the surface of what the game has to offer. Opinions on the game are still being formed and assessments of new features continue. We'll be breaking dow...
