SCEA has promised a significant roster update for MLB 15: The Show that would feature a full reevaluation of the league over the All-Star break period. That update did not arrive today, so next Monday appears likely for that with the days off potentially providing the opportunity for them to accomplish the massive sweep on player ratings. For a second straight week the update is a mediocre one, no major movement in player ratings, but there are four well-regarded rookies that make their d...

The July 6th roster update for MLB 15: The Show contained only 32 updates making it the "calm before the storm". During a pre-E3 stream put on by the development team at Sony San Diego, mention was made that a “wholesale update similar to what we do in between annual releases” will be completed around the All-Star break. That was already highly anticipated but now even more so with this latest roster update delivering so little.  (more…)...

Thanks to the revamped Diamond Dynasty, the roster updates for MLB 15: The Show have been greatly improved upon compared to past years, incorporating consistent ratings changes to go along with player movement. With the All-Star break near, this week's update is undoubtedly the weakest of the entire season, but with a huge reevaluation of the entire league promised either next week or the following week, that's not totally unexpected. The biggest movers up this week include Josh Collme...

Max Scherzer has been on an incredible tear as of late, which included a no-hitter (hit batsman away from a Perfect Game), and a stretch of 23 1/3 innings where he surrendered just a single hit. That has resulted in a much-deserved ratings boost in the latest roster update for MLB 15: The Show that arrived today. Scherzer has risen 3 points to 97 Overall. Other players on the rise include Albert Pujols (+3 to 89), Dallas Keuchel (+3 to 89), and Brett Gardner (+3 to 86). Those headed downw...

The roster update on June 22nd for MLB 15: The Show has brought with it an onslaught of hot corner upgrades. In the last Market Report we examined the fall of Adrian Beltre which made Josh Donaldson the highest overall rated third baseman. This week, Donaldson went even higher, and broke into the "Diamond" tier with his new 93 Overall rating.  (more…)...

The latest roster update for MLB 15: The Show went out this morning! Two more highly touted prospects recently made their Major League debuts and have been added to the game. Byron Buxton has been given a 70 Overall Rating and 'A' Potential. SCEA has for some reason however placed him in AAA rather than on the Twins. Rated even higher is the Indians' Francisco Lindor who starts at 76 Overall with 'A' Potential. In terms of ratings movement the big winners were Josh Donaldson (+3 to 93), M...

The first significant discount on MLB 15: The Show is available today at Amazon where the PS4 version of the game is just $40. For a period of time MLB 15 had been going for $52 but this is the first it's dropped below that point. At $40 it's undoubtedly a great deal for anyone that has interest in baseball and it's unlikely to go any cheaper during the season. For those on the fence about the game check out the review that was written for Sporting News, which is intended to help in...
