    Today at the PlayStation Experience press briefing developer Sony San Diego unveiled the first trailer for MLB The Show 17. When Ken Griffey Jr. was announced as the cover athlete many wondered if there would be more to it than just his inclusion in Diamond Dynasty and as a free agent in Franchise as has been the case with other legends.     The season may be over but support for Diamond Dynasty mode in MLB The Show 16 continues. Today a new Chicago Cubs Champions Pack and missions tied to a trio of new flashback cards were added. Obtaining the three new flashbacks and completing statistical tasks will unlock Prime Matt Garza. Andrew Cashner (Rookie Flashback) needs to accrue 10 strikeouts, Marlon Byrd (Prime Flashback) must get 5 hits, and Darwin Barney (Prime Flashback) requires 10 fielding assists.     With the ALCS and NLCS underway SCEA has rolled out two new Missions in MLB The Show 16's Diamond Dynasty mode. Owners of the Josh Donaldson and Andrew Miller Rookie Cards will have the new challenges unlocked in order to obtain their current Live Series Cards. Andrew Miller requires 6 wins (he was a starter as a rookie for Detroit). His Rookie Card can currently be purchased from the Marketplace for under 2,000 Stubs.     The long-awaited debut of Edwin Diaz in MLB The Show 16 is finally here. The rookie phenom of the Mariners who has set records in strikeouts to begin a career and is now 10-for-10 in saves with a strikeout rate over 16 per 9 has been added to the game in today's roster update.     While it's one of the lighter weeks as of late in terms of ratings changes for MLB The Show 16, many new Flashback Cards have made it into Diamond Dynasty with today's roster update. Mookie Betts has achieved Diamond status by earning a point to get to 93 Overall, while teammate Xander Bogaerts has fallen out of the Diamond tier by dropping 2 points to 91.
