MLB 2K12 Franchise Mode Sim Results
MLB 2K12 believes in "Moneyball". In a Franchise sim it was the Oakland A's winning the World Series in a "Battle of the Bay" against the San Francisco Giants. Player stats looked to be pretty reasonable and there were no wacky trades made by the CPU. Albert Pujols and Justin Verlander lead the way in MLB 2K12 as both achieve the coveted 99 overall rating. Trailing close behind are Jose Bautista, Ryan Braun, Matt Kemp, and Roy Halladay who all come in rated 97. Team Ratings in MLB 2K12
With MLB 2K12 now in hand info, impressions, and videos will roll out through the weekend and early into the week. First in line are team ratings followed later today by the top player ratings. The Texas Rangers come in as the best team overall slightly edging out the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies. The Rangers take the top spot in hitting while the Phillies capture a 99 rating in pitching. The worst team is the Houston Astros who bottom out with a pathetic 62 in hitting while...

New MLB Playoff Format Official – How the MLB Games are Handling It
MLB has officially decided to expand the playoffs from 8 to 10 teams beginning this season. When the new CBA was signed the final call on whether to do so this year or next was pushed back and the result now is two baseball games that release soon and have to deal with the ramifications of whether they will be accurately portraying the season. MLB 2K12 Demo Available Now
The demo for MLB 2K12 was a no-show with the XBL marketplace update early this AM due to an error on Microsoft's part but it has now arrived (queue up for download on the 360 here). It will go out on the PS3 when the store updates later this afternoon. MLB 2K12 Demo Coming Next Week
While there's still no comment out of SCEA regarding a demo for MLB 12: The Show today 2K Sports announced that MLB 2K12 will have its release on Tuesday February 28th on the Xbox 360 and PS3. It will include a World Series rematch of the Texas Rangers @ St. Louis Cardinals. The second to last week to offer a pre-release demo for MLB 2K12 and MLB 12: The Show on the 360 and PS3 have now passed. Amazon Offering Promo Credit on MLB 2K12 and Combo Pack with NBA 2K12
It has been notable that neither publisher of the baseball titles this year are offering any sort of pre-order incentive.
