For anyone planning to make attempts at winning the $1 million perfect game contest in MLB 2K10 it is important to be aware of the rules. You will not qualify by simply throwing a perfect game. Instead you must meet all the requirements which include beginning the recording from before the TV is even turned on and avoiding pausing the game or making a mound visit. There is some subjectivity to this as well as any video recording deemed to be "low quality" will be thrown out. Continue on to rea...
  • 2K Frustrated Over MLB 2K10 PS3 Demo Delay

When the demo details for MLB 2K10 were released it was discovered that it would not arrive until March 4th for the PS3. 2K Sports representative Ronnie Singh tweeted about the delay to the MLB 2K10 demo yesterday in apparent reaction to the situation surrounding the lack of a pre-release demo for MLB 10: The Show. So wait a second, our PS3 MLB demo gets held up a week for what reason now? Initially my suspicion was that the MLB 2K10 demo had simply been submitted too late and that is the in...

From the time the demo for MLB 2K10 was released I've been keeping notes, some of which I've been posting to Twitter along the way. I've compiled my thoughts and observations here and will just stream them out. I've also included another two HD videos of a demo play through. Overall based on the demo MLB 2K10 is going to offer a much cleaner and more rewarding experience than previous iterations. There are a number of issues though, some of which won't be properly evaluated until the comple...

After a lengthy process my first HD videos of the MLB 2K10 demo are now live. The recording is one of the first times I played through and it was 3am so there are a few quirks. For example there is a stretch where I throw three or four consecutive wild pitches not realizing I was doing the changeup motion instead of the fastball motion. Also I started rushing things near the end of the second video as I was trying to complete the demo within the 10 minute time limit placed on uploads. I'm cont...

The demo for MLB 2K10 has arrived on the Xbox 360 Marketplace. It features a three inning rematch of the World Series with the Philadelphia Phillies @ New York Yankees. There is no commentary and no option to change settings such as difficulty or adjust camera angles. The demo for the PS3 will not be available until March 4th. Considering there is just one week to go and only a single inning of gameplay footage out there this demo carries with it a great deal of importance. I will have game...
  • MLB 2K10 vs 2K9 Comparison Trailer

2K Sports has released a trailer that attempts to show off the differences between MLB 2K10 and MLB 2K9. Included are graphical improvements, fixed stadium advertising, some of the common glitches in 2K9, new collision detection, the simplified pitching, and the new batting camera angle. While it does a good job of displaying these things in just a single minute the issues in 2K9 were not realized in the pre-release videos, communicated in the previews, or even spotted much in the demo. So it ...

With just 10 days left until release both MLB 10: The Show and MLB 2K10 have yet to release their demos. The PSN update arrived yesterday with The Show no where to be found while 2K Sports has announced their plans. The demo for MLB 2K10 will be released on Tuesday for the 360. It will come to the PS3 on March 4th, with that being after release it is essentially conceding the console to the competition. No details on what the demo will entail just yet but it could end up being similar to la...
