First Look at MLB 2K11 Gameplay
It should be concerning that the arrival of MLB 2K11 is just over two weeks away and no gameplay videos have been released. 2K Sports is not even sending preview builds out to media sites this year. Though the series somewhat recovered with 2K10 the last thing it needed going into 2K11 was the sense that it was being hidden or protected from criticism. A prerelease demo will certainly be critical in establishing it as a capable title but has not yet been announced.
Today brings the first op...
Tons of MLB 2K11 Player Ratings
A great deal of player ratings for MLB 2K11 are out as they were publicly accessible on the 2K community online league website. I've collected all the teams that were being used which amounts to 22 of them and put them in the gallery dedicated to the player ratings for ease of browsing. The teams not found were the Padres, Nationals, Tigers, White Sox, Orioles, Reds, Diamondbacks, and Pirates.
If you hunt around on that site you'll actually be able to find breakdowns for pitcher's individua...
Improvements to MLB 2K11 Modes and Graphics Detailed
A few updates dropped today for MLB 2K11. One is a developer blog straight from 2K Sports that focuses on enhancements to the graphics and the other from ESPN takes a look at My Player and Franchise modes. With only three and a half weeks to go until release hopefully 2K will open up with some gameplay footage and set a demo date a week or two in advance.

With just six weeks to go until the release of MLB 2K11 we have a general idea of what the game will be offering. The features list arrived last week and detailed new dynamic player ratings for modes including franchise, a revamped fielding system, and new player models. The $1 million perfect game contest is set up to be the big marketing angle for the second straight year.
What are you most looking forward to out of the known features? Has any of the information swayed a potential purcha...
The Latest on MLB 2K11
Here are some updates on MLB 2K11 since breaking the news on the feature list during the week. It'll be interesting to see whether the game, which has put a focus on improving defensive play in lieu of significant new features, will be able to draw any of the large number of consumers who've been turned away by previous efforts this generation. The $1 million contest is obviously meant to be that attraction as simply saying the game is cleaned up and potentially a solid effort won't be enough ...
MLB 2K11 Features List
2K Sports has been especially quiet on the MLB 2K11 front (outside of the $1 million contest announcement) and after the comments made regarding the MLB license that has increased concern that the series isn't going to make a strong push this year or next. With under seven weeks to go until release of the game the first details are finally here in the way of an initial features list which many will likely find uninspiring.
The big addition appears to be the "Dynamic Player Ratings" which wi...
