MTV had the chance to chat with Ryan Reynolds. He talked about what a great year 2009 has been for him and mentions the highlight thus far has been seeing the prototypes of the Green Lantern costume. MTV: You have done everything from a publicity tour with Betty White to trying on the Green Lantern costumes. So, in looking back at the year, is there a moment that sums it up, that encapsulates what 2009 was about? Reynolds: I think, seeing the prototypes for the Green Lantern costumes was...

This week is a very poor week for DVD releases. After a few pretty good weeks, there isn't much worth mentioning. As a fan of The Sopranos, I'm looking forward to the release of season 1 on Blu-ray. Tom Hanks' Angels & Demons also hits stores this week. Unfortunately, just like The Da Vinci Code, this movie wasn't much better. Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard DVD and Blu-ray: (more…)...

According to IO9.com, casting has begun for the next theatrical iteration of The Crow. In an interview with Ryan Kavanaugh, the producer shares quite a few details on the upcoming movie. Are you casting right now and looking? We're looking. We're in discussions....I think it's something cool, we're approaching it differently. It's really a whole relaunch of the franchise, much more of a dark superhero type. Will it be a well known actor, or someone we've never heard of before? It ...

A little over a week ago, Mania.com reported from "a source" that Rachel McAdams would be cast in Spiderman 4. Today we find out this is not the case, as it was all a rumor. Entertainment Weekly recently spoke with McAdams, who denied the rumors that she was in Spider-Man 4. That’s a total rumor, I have to say,” the actress, who will next be seen in the Dec. 25 action-adventure tentpole Sherlock Holmes, tells EW. “I was hanging out in Toronto the other day and someone cam...

There are a handful of good movies hitting stores this week. Christmas has come early for Trekkies with the release of Star Trek. J.J. Abrams rendition of the Sci-Fi classic was well received and scored high in reviews. Fans of Sacha Baron Cohen can look forward to Bruno releasing this week. But the movie I'm most looking forward to is the Blu-ray release of Fight Club. It's hard to believe it's already been ten years since the movie first released in theaters. There are some movies that sho...

According to The Hollywood Reporter, FX has secured the television rights to 2012 and Zombieland. Appropriately, the Sony movie will make its debut on the basic cable network in the beginning of 2012. In addition to "2012," FX has acquired another Sony film that opened at No. 1 this fall, the horror comedy "Zombieland," which will be availabl...
