Top DVD Sales and Rentals for Week Ending December 27, 2009
For the second straight week The Hangover was the top selling DVD. District 9 came in second, but managed to knock the Comedy out of the top spot as the most rented DVD. It's fitting for me that both movies end up at top to close out the year, as they were two of my favorite movies of 2009. Below is the list of DVD sales and rentals for the week ending December 27, 2009:

‘Ghostbusters 3′ Arriving in 2011
Earlier this month, Sigourney Weaver shared some details about Ghostbusters 3, much of which involved the plot of the movie. Harold Ramis (Egon) recently spoke to Heeb Magazine and had this to say about the project:
Something's going to happen. Dan [Aykroyd] did write a spec GB3 screenplay a few years ago, but no one was motivated to pursue it. Now, 25 years after the original, there seems to be some willingness to proceed and apparently a substantial public appetite for a sequel. We'll int...

Top DVD Sales and Rentals for Week Ending December 20, 2009
The Hangover trumped all last week and was the top selling and most rented DVD. This wasn't much of a surprise when you consider how well the movie was received by critics and audiences. Disney's G-Force proved once again that movies geared towards children will sell despite receiving bad reviews. Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds did well on the rentals side, but had disappointing sales numbers. Below is the list of DVD sales and rentals for the week ending December 20, 2009:

Second ‘Inception’ Teaser Poster and French Trailer
Last week, the first teaser poster for Christopher Nolan's Inception was released. This week, Comingsoon.net has posted the second poster for your viewing pleasure. Based off the two posters we still can't get a good idea of what the film is about.
Also making it's way around the net was a French teaser video. Unfortunately, the studio has asked the video to be removed from most sites I've visited. I did manage to find it at Funnyordie.com, although I'm not sure how long it will stay up....
New on DVD: Week of December 21
I was surprised to see there weren't bigger movie releases for the week of Christmas. The big name this week is Peter Jackson's District 9. If you are a Sci-Fi fan, then this is probably a movie you'd enjoy. If you are a fan of Comedy, Mike Judge's Extract was solid. The film received a "fresh rating" on Rottentomatoes.com and is in the same mold of Office Space. Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard DVD and Blu-ray:
