Marc Webb to Direct ‘Spider-Man’
NYMag.com is reporting that Sony will soon announce they have signed (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb to direct the next three Spider-Man films. According to NYMag.com, there were two major factors in going with Webb. The decision to focus more on a teenage Peter Parker's inner conflicts was one, and the other was price. Webb came at a cheaper price compared to previous director Sam Raimi.

After a lackluster week of releases, we finally have our first decent week of the 2010. Jason Bourne fans will be happy to know that the 'Bourne films' will be releasing on Blu-ray this week. Wes Craven to Direct ‘Scream 4′?
Back in November the first details of Scream 4 were revealed, but we weren't sure if Wes Craven would direct the film. MTV caught up with original Scream cast members Courtney Cox and David Arquette at The Golden Globes, where the two shared some more details of the upcoming film. Both weren't on the same page though when it came to a confirmation.

Reitman Confirms He’ll Direct Ghostbusters 3
MTV is reporting that Ivan Reitman will be returning to direct Ghostbusters 3. Reitman directed the first two films, which were released in 1984 and 1989.
Reitman said that the script from "Year One" writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky is in and that a second draft is currently in the works. He also confirmed that he will indeed be returning to direct the coming sequel, as had been previously speculated.

New on DVD: Week of January 11
2010 continues to bring us less than stellar movie releases. This week is worse than the previous week. If you're a fan of musicals, Fame hits stores this week. The film received a 90% 'fresh rating' on Rottentomatoes.com I did manage to see Tyler Perry's I can do Bad All By Myself. It' your typical Tyler Perry movie and doesn't stray away from his usual formula, so if you're a fan of his movies you'll enjoy this one.
