One of the biggest movies of the summer was JJ Abrams reboot of Star Trek. Exceeding expectations it opened to over 70 million the first weekend and to date has hauled in nearly 260 million domestically. Madden 10 Roster Update #6 Details
The sixth roster update for Madden 10 was released earlier this morning. It includes the trade of Braylon Edwards to the Jets and the re-introduction of Michael Crabtree to the 49ers after his signing earlier this week. Edwards lost a point and is now an 84 and Crabtree has shifted downwards but not nearly as much as I would've expected. He is now an 82 overall. NBC Cancels Southland
NBC has announced that they have canceled the sophomore series Southland which was slated to premiere on October 23rd. Though ratings were solid and it received primarily good reviews this was a show that the network felt wasn't suited for them anymore. The main reason for the cancellation appears to be that a drama with a darker tone has no where to fit in NBC's schedule now that the 10pm hour is unavailable. It would not be surprising to see the show end up on another network in the future...

NCAA Basketball 10 ESPN Presentation
The news and videos for NCAA Basketball 10 began just a few days ago but now we have our second video displaying the new presentation in the game. First it was the CBS presentation that was shown. The latest video shows off how ESPN is integrated to mimic the broadcasts that the network provides. Box Office Predictions 10/9/09
Only one movie opens wide this week despite it being a holiday weekend. Columbus Day does not traditionally bring out huge audiences to theaters but it is still out of the ordinary to see just one film come out over any weekend let alone an extended one. The alternate uniform for the Seahawks is confirmed to be included in the next patch for Madden 10. No word on if there will be any other additions or adjustments to uniforms within the patch or an estimate on when it may be out.
