EA Sports has posted a blog that goes more in-depth on the ESPN and CBS integrated presentation that will be featured in NCAA Basketball 10. The blog covers some aspects that could not all be shown in the previous introduction videos for CBS and ESPN such as breakdowns of the audio, cameras, halftime, overlays, and replays. Click here to read up on all the details. This is the first time that an EA SPORTS title has had full ESPN in game presentation and the first time any sports game has ha...

Just last week brought news that NBC had canceled the critically lauded and relatively well rated police drama before it even premiered the second season which was scheduled for later this month. Essentially it was deemed too dark for their open time slots now that Jay Leno occupied the 10pm hour every day of the week. Having already closed up shop on one series and with some struggling new shows the network is in dire straits. Trauma has done decently but is very expensive to produce, Me...

Couples Retreat exceeded industry (and my own) expectations this weekend pulling in right around 34 million. Despite poor reviews and mediocre audience response the comedy was marketable enough to draw big on its opening weekend. Long term the outlook isn't as bright, but for a movie that reportedly cost 70 million to make it will end up in the black. For my review of Couples Retreat click here. Even more remarkable than what Couples Retreat achieved, the ultra-low budget Paranormal Activ...

As the popularity of the NBA 2K franchise has risen the online performance has taken a sharp decline in its wake. Last year the Team Up mode was introduced however it was never able to consistently handle the load of multiple users being connected into one online game. With NBA 2K10 it has now been five days and online is still completely unreliable and some modes aren't even functional. If there is one thing I've always pushed for on the site it is companies living up to their promises a...

The last few years have brought strong online support from EA Canada. The titles out of there such as FIFA, NHL, and NBA Live have received new online modes while simultaneously improving the online performance despite the surging number of users to handle. NBA Live 10 continues that trend with excellent online play. (more…)...

Yesterday was the first first time getting together to play Adidas Live Run games in NBA Live 10. The Pastapadre squad may be 1-13 but no one seemed to mind. It was a fun evening and the one win was ultra-satisfying coming over a team that trash talked in pre-game and touted their being "ranked 13th in the world". You can check out all of the results and stats on the website. There will definitely be future Live Run sessions set up so keep an eye out if you're interested in joining in....

After an earlier teaser trailer and a mild run with Toy Story & Toy Story 2 playing in 3D to help bring back awareness Disney has now prepared the full theatrical trailer for Toy Story 3. Despite over 10 years having passed since the the second film came out, Toy Story 3 is highly anticipated and should bring in huge numbers for Disney/Pixar which will likely exceed those of their recent productions such as Up and Wall-E. This time around the toys must deal with being dumped by Andy a...
  • Natal Could Bring Baseball to 360

There is no doubt that the MLB The Show franchise has not only positively contributed to sales of the PS3, but maybe even more importantly it has brought additional prestige to the console. With 2K Sports only holding a third party exclusive MLB license that has left the door open for Microsoft to the produce their own. The prime opportunity could present itself when Project Natal releases next year. As demonstrated first at E3, Natal is going to bring motion-controlled gaming to the 360 ...
