FNR4 Price Drop and DLC News
EA Sports has made two announcements relating to Fight Night Round 4. The first is that the price of the game is being dropped to $39.99 while the second relates to the next downloadable content that will be arriving next month.
In addition to including Bernard Hopkins, Sonny Liston and Evander Holyfield as playable boxers, the DLC pack will also include two all-new game modes. The first, Old School Rules brings a new take to the traditional boxing experience, while the second, Ring Rivalri...
24 Will Have Another Past Character Return
24 has never shied away from reintroducing characters from previous seasons. At the rate they die or turn sides it is inevitable that they have to refresh or tie them into previous storylines. Hell last year they brought back a guy who had been killed off so nothing can come as a surprise anymore. With the premiere of 24 coming on January 17th more details on the season are making their way out.
One of my favorite characters from earlier on in 24 will be back for season eight. This could ...
This Is It Five Day Results
The five day estimates are in for This Is It and the disappointing performance at the box office continues. After opening with only the 7.4 million from the opening day which included Tuesday night showings, the estimate for the five day period is 32.4 million. The movie collected a decent but unspectacular 21.3 million over the weekend.
Worldwide the film has proven more successful pulling in 101 million since release. That is not anywhere near the 250 million predicted by AEG but still ...

While I generally don't cover WWE games it is worth noting that the license has run out for THQ and the period to extend it has now been pushed back to the end of the year. Presumably WWE ...
Anthony Hopkins Joins Thor
All of the Marvel films that lead up to The Avengers in 2012 are being followed closely while in development. Not only do they have to fit into the same world and mesh for The Avengers to work but every casting decision is crucial as they'll be involved with that picture as well. Up next is Iron Man 2 but others on the way include Thor which is scheduled to release on May 20th, 2011 and Captain America which will arrive on July 22nd, 2011. In their early stages some details are starting to m...

EA Strikes Back With New Blog
Earlier this week controversy arose when a 2K Sports representative criticized the way the NBA Live 10 patch was being received. Rather than respond directly to that statement it seems that EA Sports has taken another approach. With the use of their blog they are now attempting to spread the perception that NBA 2K10 has fallen off this year due consumer reaction to the problems with the game. You can check out the posting that went up earlier today here.
This is the first time where compe...
Studios May Force DVD Sales Only Period
Responding to continued drops in DVD sales, movie studios are apparently considering a multi-week window where DVD and Blu-ray copies would only be available for purchase. After that time was up the movies would then be available for rental.
Are people passing on buying DVDs because they can just rent them? Or is it because the movies aren't worth buying or the prices are too high? The studios seem to think that the drop in sales can be attributed to outlets like Netflix and Redbox.
