When FlashForward debuted earlier this fall it was the most buzzed about new show on TV. The ratings were good though they were not spectacular. Since the premiere fan following has dropped and that is being seen in the ratings. Last week's episode, which was hyped to be the "one you had to see", delivered the lowest ratings for the series thus far. The 8.5 million viewers and only a 2.6 rating in the 18-49 come in well below ABC's expectations. While it has a solid following on DVR that ...

During the Strikeforce event this evening EA Sports revealed the first trailer for EA MMA. As was announced on Friday the game features Strikeforce as a premier league and several fighters from the promotion are already lined up for the game. EA used the opportunity of the first event in the US featuring Fedor Emelianenko to provide the debut footage of the game as he is one of the headline fighters for EA MMA. The trailer features all in-game footage with the main event participants Fedo...

This weekend felt as though it represented the unofficial kick-off for the holiday movie season. As expected A Christmas Carol will come in first place as it made 9 million on Friday. Featuring Jim Carrey voicing multiple characters and boosted by 3D theaters it now looks to be headed towards about 32 million for the weekend. That is below industry expectations which were pegged to be around 40 million and even below my tempered prediction of 36. Ultimately it may be a little early for a Chr...

Yesterday brought the release of the NCAA Basketball 10 demo (at least for those with a 360) and I posted up my initial impressions of the after spending some time with it. You can check out that article here. In addition to the impressions I wanted to get a few HD videos of the demo up. These are played on All-Conference difficulty controlling Duke and using the default broadcast camera. Continue on to watch the videos and leave your thoughts in the comments. (more…)...

I generally tend to enjoy the understated dry comedies and that is what I expected from The Men Who Stare At Goats. While it tries to be just that the story trudges along with reliance on flashbacks for much of the progression. Many of the situations seem inserted for the purpose of comic relief yet unfortunately they never really deliver on it. (more…)...

Considering the unveiling of EA MMA during the Strikeforce event tomorrow night it comes as little surprise that the Strikeforce organization will be featured as a premier league in the game. In addition to that announcement two new fighters have joined the roster in Brett Rogers and Jake Shields. Those two along with Fedor Emelianenko, Jason Miller, and Muhammed Lawal will be in main events in the nationally televised event on CBS. With this partnership, the STRIKEFORCE cage and the league...

This weekend represents the unofficial start to the holiday movie season with the release of four new films that all have their own unique appeal. The first holiday themed movie arrives with A Christmas Carol while the other three look to attract comedy, suspense, or horror crowds. None of the four however are receiving overwhelmingly good reviews. Yet another retelling of the famous Charles Dickens novel arrives with A Christmas Carol which features the voice of Jim Carrey in the headlin...

The patch for NBA 2K10 on the Xbox 360 has gone live. When starting up the game an auto-prompt will appear stating there is an update available. As long as the console is connected online this should occur. The PS3 patch is still in the certification stage and appears headed towards release sometime next week. The patch is intended to address many of the common issues with the game such as the framerate drops and My Player mode glitches. The full list of adjustments made with the patch ca...
