Madden 10 Wins Poll as Favorite Game of 2009
Over the last two weeks votes have been coming in for the sports game that was most enjoyed in 2009. Over 5300 total votes had been cast at the time of publishing this article. That represents a significant number from a large cross-section of gamers and as such is a good indicator of general sentiment towards the titles. While UFC 2009 Undisputed topped my list it was Madden 10 that dominated the polling as the game that the most people considered their favorite of the year. (more…...

The Hangover Breaks Comedy Sales Record
Warner Brothers has announced that The Hangover has become the top selling comedy movie of all-time on DVD and Blu-ray. There have been 8.6 million DVDs and 1.5 million Blu-ray copies purchased since its release on December 15th. Most sales occur during the first week of release and as such WB is estimating a six month estimate of 9.5 million DVDs. Only Twilight sold more DVDs in 2009. New Trailer for Kick-Ass
Knowing they have what very well could be a huge hit on their hands Lionsgate continues to churn out media for Kick-Ass. This is a more well rounded trailer than the first but still proves it will be difficult to get across just how violent and graphic the movie actually is. Hopefully they'll be able to release a Red Band trailer in the near future. First MLB 10: The Show Gameplay Video
SCEA is out in front again this year having provided a full feature list, screenshots, and now gameplay videos for MLB 10: The Show. With CES taking place now the game has been on display and Gametrailers has posted up a significant chuck of of gameplay featuring the Yankees @ Twins in the brand new Target Field. Weekend Box Office Predictions 1/8
While Avatar will once again dominate the box office and finish at the top for the fourth straight weekend there are a couple new entries which appeal to unique crowds. Daybreakers provides a darker option, Leap Year is a traditional romantic comedy, and Youth in Revolt tries to provide the hipper comedy. Madden 10 Roster Update #11 Details
The second to last roster update for Madden 10 is slated to arrive today (update: will arrive Saturday morning) for the 360 and PS3. Given that it has been a month since the last update and represents only the fourth update in the last 11 weeks the changes are significant. Madden Ultimate Team First Impressions
EA Sports introduced the Ultimate Team idea with FIFA 09 and will be doing so again coming up for FIFA 10. However for Madden 10 the Ultimate Team mode is provided for free. This was a good move in that it allows everyone to try it out while on EA's end it increases the number of potential users who will be completing microtransactions to improve their teams.
