  • Conan O’Brien Goes Out On Top

The ratings for the final The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien were huge as it drew a 4.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic. To put that in perspective it was the highest rated program on all of TV Friday, though that isn't completely surprising given that Friday is generally weak in primetime and the Haiti telethon took over all the networks. However that 4.8 is by far higher than anything NBC has put on the air in primetime lately other than The Biggest Loser which came close with a 4.7 earlier...

Tomorrow presents two intriguing Conference Championship match-ups. In the NFC the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints could deliver a very exciting game as both teams have good offenses and big play defenses. Over in the AFC the Indianapolis Colts offense will be challenged by the New York Jets stellar defense. So I took both of these games and watched them play out through a sim in Madden 10. Continue on to view the results and stats. Leave your thoughts in the comments regarding the...

  • MLB 2K10 Removes Check Swings

With just over five weeks until release there isn't a great deal of detail out there on MLB 2K10 other than the vague features list and a couple previews based on very limited exposure with the game. That makes the Q&A from Chase at Operation Sports that much more revealing. After checking out the game yesterday he is responding to questions while preparing a full preview for Monday. There is a lot of good info to be had from reading through but the thing getting the most attention is t...
  • Weekend Box Office Predictions 1/22

There is little threat to Avatar capturing the crown for the sixth straight weekend at the box office. It should actually see a boost after winning Best Picture at the Golden Globes. New entries include the family pic Tooth Fairy, the supernatural action-thriller Legion, and the medical drama Extraordinary Measures. No matter how terrible it looks a family targeted film should never be underestimated and having Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson starring only helps. Looking at the opening of compara...

Over the weekend I posted regarding an interview Kotaku had with EA about how some high school nicknames were included in the audio for NCAA Football 10 for use with the Teambuilder feature. Over 2400 were recorded for the game but despite that there are still schools out there missing from the database. The full list of nicknames can be found here. Last year EA Sports took submissions to add in last names for the announcers to say. Now for NCAA Football 11 they are taking nickname submissi...

One of the most intriguing elements of Madden Ultimate Team is in finding particular cards, whether it be through auction, packs, or a special deal. This is especially the case with the limited edition cards that are being created. Following their performances in the Divisional Playoff games Reggie Bush and Sidney Rice received special cards as 99 rated players. Only 1000 of them were offered and they sold out fast. Earlier today a Darrelle Revis 99 rated card was released only to sell out wit...
