The Latest on the MLB Demos
One topic I'm getting a lot of questions about pertains to the demos for MLB 10: The Show and MLB 2K10. Unfortunately neither company has communicated a confirmed date for release yet. Here is the latest that I have been able to gather on both.
There is a strong likelihood that the MLB 10: The Show demo will be out tomorrow. Sony has not confirmed all the content for the PSN update as they usually announce the entire lineup the day of and I have been unable to get a statement confirming one...
Review: Shutter Island
The release of Shutter Island was moved from its originally planned October 2009 date to February 19th however not for the typical reasons that result in delays. Paramount fully believed in the picture but they didn't have the funds to push it for the Academy Awards and star Leonardo DiCaprio was too busy filming the upcoming Inception to promote it. So the decision was made to move it, and though movies that release this early in a year are generally forgotten by Oscar time, Shutter Island wi...
The Show and 2K10 Soundtracks
Both SCEA and 2K Sports have released their respective soundtrack listings for MLB 10: The Show and MLB 2K10. I've always found myself enjoying the songs included on baseball games more than any others. They seem to be able to fit the spring/summer mood and are usually more upbeat than those included in other games. Continue on check out the tracks and leave your thoughts in the comments!

Redbox Joins To Delay DVD Releases

Redbox has been seen as a rebel given their disregard for what the studios wanted. This unfortunately has left them on the outside looking in, with Redbox employees having to purchase DVDs at retail stores for f...
The Future of College Basketball Gaming
Within a three year span no sport has taken a hit in the sports gaming world as severely as basketball. There used to be five total titles with three NBA games and two NCAA games. Now there are two NBA titles (with one possibly on its last legs) and none for college. Why has this happened specifically to the NCAA offerings and what is the current outlook on the eventual future of college basketball gaming?

MLB 10: The Show Catcher Blog
SCEA has released yet another blog this time with the focus being playing as the catcher in Road to the Show. You can check out the full blog, though it is surprisingly brief, including a few new screenshots here.
The catcher is a key part of every single pitch in the game. He is arguably just as responsible for the outcome of a pitch as the pitcher. So when making MLB 10: The Show, we kept that in mind.
Personally I don't see myself getting into this as a catcher, especially considering how...
