The two big names at defensive tackle are widely considered as standouts and most sure things in the draft. Despite this one of them was even able to impress at the combine while the other fell a little behind in comparison. The defensive tackles and defensive ends were for the most part a very fast and athletic group. (more…)...
  • NFL Combine Reaction: Linebackers

The linebackers came across as a lot less flashy than the group at defensive end. Actually some of the defensive ends outdid the linebackers in their own drills. Brandon Graham tweaked a hamstring running the 40 and had to pull out of the drills after that. Two middle linebackers that scouts are really wanting to get a look at in Rolando McClain and Brandon Spikes have disappointingly pushed full assessments until their Pro Days. (more…)...

With MLB 10: The Show now out here is an opportunity to post some thoughts on the game. There are still no reviews published which is somewhat surprising especially combined with the lack of a demo but for the most part there remains strong consumer confidence in the product. I'll be spending time with the game over the next few days posting videos, impressions, and especially focusing on the online play performance. You can follow me on Twitter where I'll be noting some things as I go through...

Disney has released the second trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The first trailer was released back in early November to generally positive reaction and apparently the movie has been testing very high. The video game adaptation follows a prince who along with an enemy princess team up to stop an angry ruler that plans to unleash a standstorm that could destroy the world. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal the movie is directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and prod...

For anyone planning to make attempts at winning the $1 million perfect game contest in MLB 2K10 it is important to be aware of the rules. You will not qualify by simply throwing a perfect game. Instead you must meet all the requirements which include beginning the recording from before the TV is even turned on and avoiding pausing the game or making a mound visit. There is some subjectivity to this as well as any video recording deemed to be "low quality" will be thrown out. Continue on to rea...
  • NFL Combine Reaction: Quarterbacks

Unfortunately the top quarterbacks decided to sit out of the combine. Whether it be due to recovering from injuries (Sam Bradford, Jimmy Clausen, Colt McCoy), changing throwing motion (Tim Tebow), or no reason but to avoid it (Dan LeFevour), it was a thin class on display. Tebow and LeFevour did run but neither threw. (more…)...

TMZ is reporting that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco will be on the cast of the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars. While athletes have traditionally performed well on the show most of them have been retired at the time. The only active player to take part was Jason Taylor, who received criticism for missing off-season workouts and saw his play drop 0ff ever since. Ochocinco will likely miss the off-season workout program as well but he generally has not shown up to tho...
  • NFL Combine Reaction: Wide Receivers

Wide receiver is generally the position that takes the longest to transition and produce at a high level. There is also probably no bigger boom or bust position in the draft. Because of the different offensive systems ran the combine results tend to weigh more heavily for receivers than others. There were a handful of standouts but also a few big letdowns this year.
