Despite Backbreaker having a history of release date shifting it finally appeared to have settled into May 25th. With that approaching there are now signs that it may not be hitting that date. Amazon, Gamefly, and Walmart have shifted the release to June 1st. Gamestop, usually the first indicator of a release date change, still has it slated for 5/25. Generally though retailers do not make changes without having reason to do so, and as such confirmation could be coming in the near future one w...

Now with EA having released screens of Donovan McNabb on the Redskins I went in to provide the same thing with the two that hit soon after the trade was completed. Continue on to check out the screenshot comparisons and leave your thoughts in the comments! (more…)...

The assumption has always been that somehow Conan O'Brien would end up at Fox. Sure there were multiple complications involved with that but the match seemed made in heaven. Other options out there such as Starz, Showtime, or Comedy Central never felt all that realistic in comparison. However in a move that has surprised most everyone including industry insiders, O'Brien has agreed to a deal that will give him a show on TBS. Conan's new show will debut in November where it will air at 11pm ...

It was expected to be a close race at the box office this weekend and that is exactly what we got. The Steve Carell-Tina Fey comedy Date Night squeaked out a first place finish with a little over $27 million. Wide spread appeal to both males and females provided strength and both Carell and Fey have delivered solid openings in the past. Last weekend's winner Clash of the Titans fell an expected 56% to just under $27 million. It has now collected $110 million but long term prospects are not ...

For the second consecutive Sunday a big trade has gone down. It isn't very often that Super Bowl MVP's are traded, but when they are they generally fetch better than what the Steelers have obtained in exchange for Santonio Holmes. Holmes has been traded to the New York Jets for a fifth round pick (151st) in this year's draft. The Steelers have recently been dealing with a troubling image hit due to the actions of both Holmes and Ben Roethlisberger. Holmes is actually facing a potential four...

The Line Drive is a weekly collection of news, links, and updates that didn’t necessarily warrant their own postings. A Strikeforce event will be taking place on June 16th in LA to coincide with E3. That is a strong indication that EA Sports MMA will be heavily promoted at the gaming convention. Whether it will be playable on the show floor is still unknown. A new community Q&A blog has been posted for UFC Undisputed 2010 which discusses aspects of the game such as...
  • Logan Lerman Top Choice for Spider-Man

With the Spider-Man franchise getting a reboot the casting of course is going to be a critical and highly-scrutinized element. Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) is on to direct, and the story will be going back to high school. That means younger actors will be needed. Early word was that the studio wanted to go with relative unknowns. So naturally the rumors are starting to swirl with the first focus being on who will play Peter Parker. HitFix is reporting that Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) is ...
